PPU tradeskill

A friend of mine was wondering this and since i know NOTHING about monks, so here it goes, can ppus do a major tradeskill without serious gimpage? say 150 barter? with boost that is

how much psi use a ppu need?150? 170?

all a ppu needs is 140 at least or around there, dont go below 130 though, then ull hit gimpage

anyway, yeah, with the buffs & implants u can easily make a nice barterer or researcher.

but i dont have a main skill, just 100 hacking when buffed & 87 weapon lore cuz i use pistols. all while still having 163 ppu

so yeah, take that setup & add the 70 base weapon lore since u dont use pistols & uve got these:

(u can always use a lab OP for +25 or +50 research to bring it well above a nice point to research E's, & other high TLs )

my friend also uses pistols, not sure what her stats are since i am currently takin a break from nc, but when i see her on messenger tommaro ill ask, any other ppus have comments to add please

PPU's can use pistols to level tehre dex faster...but youll run slow since you have to gimp agility to use them

not really, when buffed i have 100 agility

its my con setup where i purposely gimp my speed, but my 100 agl makes up for it

My monk, APU not PPU yet still needed as much PSU as possible, is a TL 115 poker with 99 base poke (casted with spy 3 = 115) and it works fine. not too much gimpage

its only really the apu monks who need alot of psi use so they can cast as fast as possible

ppu monks dont really need to cast fast, especially since i use pistols :p, but that 150 psi use would cast pretty fast

Research i would do it works pretty good and u dont screw up too much techs and still if youre a ppu boost yourself for an apu u just need the psi use and than dont go further than tl 84 poker

I disagree, a PPU needs at least 180 PSI use.

Rubbish, when you are in a fight you cannot afford to wait 1 minute before the PPU finally finishes casting shelter.

Due to helping some mates out with their clan i decided to LOM psi use, as many on Pluto know i used to be part of the crackheads and pvp constantly...

Anyway to be honest even without my psi use, which was around 200 or so i can still PvP very well. Although perhaps not as fast casting ive not really had a problem with it so far, so if your not in the game for hardcore pvp and dont mind a slight delay... and im talking a very slight delay here, then go for it! :)

I second that. A monk just can't have enough PSU, no matter if APU or PPU.

When you have two angry apu's chasing you with antibuff and an array of tanks/spies/pe's pounding on you, you will appreciate the speed you can recast shelter/deflector : ) Also the reduction in time it takes to cast ressurect lets you revive teamates while under fire.
