OK not whats your bestest song in the whole world ever because lots of people are like me and have a few songs they could never pick between.

But over the years whats the single song youve listened to the most and always keep going back to and never bore of.

tough choices, i wanted to choose some Paul Weller and Oasis.

But you pushed me into a corner....

Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy.

@Fenyx - Ive been to 7 Prodigy gigs up and down the UK, and ive been pulled from the crowd 3 times when they get to the part of the act where they obviously pull ravers onto the stage to dance. Me and Keith were dancin' and we had an arm over each other shoulders (keith) like mates mucho coolness. I was a huge fan when i was younger.....

Yeah it's not really my favourite but it's the first one I had on a CD (I got Air Guitar 1 before I got any Satriani albums).

My favourites are One Big Rush, Raspberry Jam, Borg Sex, Flying in a Blue Dream, Crashing Day, Always with Me Always with You, and Cool #9. I don't think I could pick one out of those.

Oh another reason I like Surfing with the Alien is that it's pretty much the only I can play all the way through without having to improvise my own solo. :p

...unless you like decent songwriting, lol! Yngwie Malmsteen may play guitar faster, and therefore better (...) than anybody else but he plays songs that are not particually great. I know that music is a matter of opinion, but you can grade songwriting, and Yngwie Malmsteen would not get at very high mark. Not by an educated musuician. I personally think Dave Mustain has contributed more to guitaring than Yngwie Malmsteen anyway. He just can't play as fast.

However the quote is true. Yngwie Malmsteen is fucking incredible at playing uber fast, omg I shit my pants guitar.

Oh and for songwriting I think tool are pioneers, and Danny carry is a h4x0r of the drum kit.

I have to respond to that by saying that I think it's a stupid question, because this is definitely not a priority of mine at all. However, I will say that lately I'm clearly at the top of my game in terms of my command of the instrument, and the way I play my solos onstage, especially my intro for "Trilogy Suite" and pieces like that - there are probably more notes per millisecond than there have been before, that's for damn sure. Whether that can be captured on a recording, I don't know because it's very hard to get that type of adrenaline rush in the studio. But to return to the question itself: I thought people had sort of gotten over that speed issue of who or what's the fastest. A better question would be what songs connect with you the most… which ones inspire you in some way, whether they are fast or slow?

anyway its just like u say its a matter of taste.. i myself think malmsteen have written some of the best melodys on earth.. just listen to black star..

EDIT: and hes not naerly the fastest :) just look at fransesco fareri (dunno if i got the name right) he can play faster than anyone but its still boring as shit, the same scales, modes, arpeggios and sweeps over and over and over and over [

Songwriting is a touchy subject. Many well educated musicians think Kurt Cobain was an excellent songwriter. Many thought he was shit. In my opinion Yngwie Malmsteen hasn't done much as far as songwriting is concerned, but of course that is open for debate.

Most listened to based on how long since I first heard it, probably "A Fairytale About Slavery" by Miranda Sex Garden.

Though it may be the live version of "The Waitress" by Tori Amos, I'm unsure.

Those are the two songs I'm most likely to listen to as an individual track (possibly looping) rather than just thrown into a mix or playlist.

There's others I'll have listened to more, but only because I heard (and liked) them years before Fairytale or Waitress.

I'm very partial to stroke 9 - Little Black Backpack

and, as a local fan for a long time, and a huge fan of the show

Good Charlotte - The Clique (theme from undergrads)

other than that, throw anything Paul Oakenfold or DJ Sammy my way and I'm happy for the most part.

But over the years whats the single song youve listened to the most and always keep going back to and never bore of.

Mines:

Guns N Roses - Rocket Queen

Hands down it is the live version by FEAR of Hank Williams was a homosexual and Velvet Undergrounds Sister Ray

I hate ppl who say Hendrix is the best

Maybe he was the best at his time, but really...there's so many ppl now that out-skill him. Sure hendrix invented new things, etc etc... but haven't ppl like yngwie malmsteen & michael angelo done that as well? THEY HAVE STFU THEY R UABR OWNWNWRAWFGA DUNNO!!!

MICHAEL ANGELO IS COMING TO THE NETHERLANDS 5 NOV <<< ILL BE THERE!!!!!

I wanna be at g3 as well :(((((( besides malmsteen vai & satch there's gonna be lots of other great musicians as well (billy sheehan :) some drummers..dunno)

I wonder what songs they'll play when I see them live this Sunday (sidekick to the Deftones) :)

I will go with dissenter for the absolute fave which is "the silence" tiesto remix with sarah mcgloughlin's vocals. ( she sang the original )

Favourite Non vocal track has got to be Malice in wonderland by two lesser known hard house producers Pants and Corset. That tune owns everythin if u like the electronice modern house/trance tracks.

i got loads more i could put up like gerry rafferty "baker street" purely for that fat sax rift to it and i gotta say a big respect to al3x for ugly kid joe. cat in the cradle. I love to listen to it when im alone in the house and can sing along o_O er yeah anyway.
