Not true - both games were excellent in their own right - the original Syndicate was a lot more bloody and brutal than Syndicate Wars (i.e. watching your mob of 'persuaded' civilians soften up an agent team for you, or simply torching someone with the flamethrower because you can) and seemed a lot more violent than its sucsessor - albeit in a tiny, pixelated way. Synidacte Wars, on the other hand, had a nice 3D engine for its time and a better selection of vehicles. Your agents also had building- destroying weapons at their disposal - surely the first time your carefully placed briefcase bombs were set, or that first time a nuclear hand grenade went a bit wide, the resulting explosion put a smile on your face? :D

Ahhhhhh brings fond memories of loading by tape on a "home computer" sat cross legged in front of the TV you got for christmas in your bedroom, listening to Culture Club/Depeche Mode/Queen (delete as applicable)

Hey! A good idea!

Wouldn't it be great if someone brought out a similar game, but in 3D! where you could walk round the city, and maybe even talk to other citizens, and buy or even build better weapons as you earned more and fight rival syndicates and and and................

Oh...................... ok I'm off back to Plaza 2

:D
