Put server info and announcements in the NC Launcher?

Was just thinking about it on friday... when the servers were down. Was wondering why someone
would have to click all the way to the announcement forum to see that servers were supposed to be
down. Why not put the announcements for things like that in the launcher and maybe server info too
(like that banner that's floating around).

I've always thought they should.

Especially for new releases of the NC launcher and what not.

It is really silly that everytime I bring it up I see the same webpage that says there is an updated launcher to download. How hard would it be to change the page that subsequent loaders view to another one that doesn't tell me that.

Having scheduled maintenace times listed or known outages listed would help out as well.

On the flip side, I hardly have it up long enough to read before I hit the launch game button. So I don't know if it would really matter that much.

KK should put it on the bottom of there list. Good idea but there is hella more important stuff to do.
