View Full Version : Any Places You Wanna Go But Never Been?
Everyday I log on I end up going to the same places. Walk the streets of the Red Light District, Raid the Military Base or Enemy Outposts, Defend the Canyons or an Outpost my clan holds.
In all reality I haven't really leveled my characters in many areas and haven't traveled to alot of places. I guess I could call myself a noob because I haven't even been close to some of the things in this game as I'd like to be.
MC5: I've been there once as my Hybrid. It was fun at that time. There was glass and a safe place to rest for a couple seconds. At that time I had a law chip in and the minute I died I couldn't get a rez from the PPU monk there so that was the end of my MC5 voyage.
Swamp Caves: I've walked past the various swamp caves throughout Neocron but have never once stepped inside.
Worm Tunnels: I've seen em but never walked inside. Usually because I had a couple Johnny 5's in the area and didn't want to risk death inside or outside.
Gaia Mine: I've never been in here once. I was actually on the outside once and was going to go in but I died and forgot that Joey rezzed so I clicked and ended up logging for the night :p. I usually level on the map to the entrance alot but never decide to go inside.
Crystal Caves: Yet again I haven't really explored them. I went in once and this huge snake jumped up and poisoned me to all hell. But I managed to hack a Viper King armor out of someones belt near the entrance lol.
Graves: Again one of those places I have heard of, but actually have never even seen. I was City Admin at one time on an alternate character and had to get Snake Minion teeth. I took the easy way out :( and bought them off someone being the non exploring person I am.
Scorpion Queen Graves: I went in once but that was on the test server and I quickly got disconnected so I decided not to explore any longer that night because of horrendous lag.
Y-Bots: I've never really fought these guys determined to kill it. I was on my spy once and had a commando sniper rifle. I shot one of them from VERY far away. 10 seconds later he's right next to me and I'm dead :) Never tried to fight one again.

So as you can see I live a secluded life in Neocron. I usually do the same stuff every night as some of the things listed above. So maybe some people out there have gotten bored of Neocron. Maybe some of these places they haven't been to either? I think I would have some fun trying out these places, but it always seems no one wants to go and show me around. Nevertheless I think I found out why the game seems boring lately to me.
I have seen every cave/place in this game you can possibly get to.. i have even been inside of the outzone 7 factory o_o i have killed every mobs except apparition :) only place i want to see is regants legacy but thats it O_O
Edit: I do hae to say though the Apparition is the best looking mob in NC also the hard to kill.. and hardest to see lol
LoL same as Kasumi. Been just around the whole world, explored the worm tunnels etc etc but ive never seen the scorpion queen or the apparition. maybe after next patch when they start dropping better loot ill drag a ppu with me somewhere.

i've:
did chaos caves and killed chaos queen and caves (all 3)
did graves and killed viper king
did crystal caves and killed batqueen
did swamp caves and killed shaman
did pr and killed doom harbringer
did gaya and killed the stormbot wit the laser
explored OZ (all except OZ7; cant find it)
did all sewers; except a few PP ones thats in teh dark
I WANT:
to do apparition; dunt even know where it is...
find oz7...
oz7 is closed off
ive heard they are adding it back into game though, and heard its on test server atm, but not sure havent gone and looked, but its ez to find, u know that area with all that green waste stuff in the oz? its around there
theres a path u take that leads to a dead end and a lil fence is up, well u used to b able to go thru there and into oz7
You have to goto OZ6 to get to 7.. OZ6 has all the bats and stuff flying around but like shujin said its blocked on.. i managed to get bugged nad teleported there; ) its nothing special.. just a factory full of toxic waste and mutants and its SUPER bugged you cant climb ladders and you cant get out of the waste if you fall into it lol
The only place you can find the apparition is the tescom worm tunnel :) most of the caves are a waste.. that includeing hte other cristal caves and worm tunnels.. they should all hae boss mobs -_-*

Worm Tunnels: they are cool but be careful rofl
Gaia Mine: ahh, the first time i was in gaia mines, pretty scary.. GET IN THERE DUDE!!
Crystal Caves: not to cool imo..
Graves: i went in there once and got pawned by a snake, lol
Scorpion Queen Graves: this place is cool too
Y-Bots: try to kill one, lots of fun..
Gaia mines are great.. really good looking :) nothing in Gaia mine C.. A and B are one and the mines.. just one allows you access to the upper levels ^_^;; dont attack the Stormbot though hehe :)

Mainsewers is teh pwn.
No for real. You can start weeping if you get lost down there. And that happens quickly. Anybody who says he knows his way around downthere is a liar because the ways ..... don't always lead back to where they started if you get my drift. And the boss mob ... :rolleyes: If you see only muties and aggies you know that you're not deep enough. By far.
For the robotic shark, get one to pull it by swimming in - just don't get frozen or you'll die quickly and nobody in hell is gonna retreive your belt if you don't kill it. Drones work pretty smooth - as long as you don't touch the water and that happens easily where the ceiling comes further down, where you have to dive to the next room to find a few (quite empty) boxes. But the loot is from the Shark anyway.
Edit: Bring a hacker or you're done for.
robotic shark? O_o and i know my way around the main swere keyo you might think i am lieing but i can take you to the end of the main sewer which leads ot a room that looks like a cellar :) but has nothing in it..
Been pretty much everywhere except mc5.. though not been more than a couple steps inside the chaos chaves, and only seen some bosses as gm spawns (despite having been in the areas they're native to).
Been visiting different places less and less as they upped the strength of mobs more and more (I prefer to explore solo).
i been on top of the wall of Dark Metal.. on top and behind Neocron, and behind the canyon (its a big wall.. i got there coz of a bug)
I've never been to the old greycore outpost, or the garbage dump.

Kasumi, deeper. You can always dive to find secret passages.
Funny how most people have never explored the Outzone, a part of the city,yet they do know every square meter of CRP, Cycrow and that popular Chaos cave that all the city factions complain they cant reach by GRing anymore.
I bet most havnt seen the Outzone, The Mainsewers, and the secret tunnel areas.

Outzone is nasty...... bring some time and the dedication to suicide if you get hopelessly lost or /set reset_position 1 doesn't get you anywhere.
A word of warning - do never, ever /set reset_position 1 in the mainsewers. :D Or try it, just to see why I personally wouldn't reccomend it. :p
I think I've seen pretty much everywhere there is to see. DoY, Aparition, Scorp queen, viperking, bat queen etc.. not sure there isnt much I've missed, even that big storage with just spiders n dragonflies, scary :D

bad day for n00bs leveling. took 6 n00bs (i was one at the time) working together to take down 1. celebrated when it went down.

its a zone south or south west of TH cant remember which, havent gone there for like 5 months

east of th... just look at the map where the road leads to nowhere.
They do poison stacks there, the queen itself does fire & poison afaik. Those little buggers she spawns are 100/100.. and hitting them is really tough.
I haven't been to most places in Neocron that are underground. I've popped into a Swamp Cave entrance and the Graves once (and survived), and I've been in a worm tunnel entrance and died to a soul cluster thingy, but never gone beyond that. The Mines I've looked around a bit and even found a level in Mine Entrance 1 that had one of those enemy copbots, but left after seeing it (Stealth II).
I've been in the H_14 MC5 using Stealth II. Needless to say, I didn't stay long (but I didn't die inside, either. :-) )
OZ I've explored and seen OZ7 and the doors that are closed in.. OZ4 or OZ6? One of those two, the one with all the bats on the outside and the moat around it. But it's been a long time since those were open. I've been in the Main Sewers, but there's little to see I find and a lot of water to tread. I've never found the entrance out at Simmons, but I've seen the gated exit under the Mutant Church. I think that used to be open at one point.
If I can work up to Obliterator, I may go exploring for a while one of these days. Otherwise, I'll need to build a PPU-heavy monk or tank to see the sights without getting my ass handed to me inside 10 seconds flat.

Only places I haven't been to are:
BYB room - Can't find it for the life of me >.<, someone want to pm me the area to look in [besides MB in general :rolleyes:].
Dark Metal - Closed since I've been strong enough to explore the wastelands.
OZ 7- Again closed.
About that room that looks like the abandoned rooms in the city mainsewer, was that accessible from OZ7? I know you can go between plaza 2 to Ind A, to the OZ, and this sure looks like a slightly less friendly abandoned room [ie: no railings on the walkways, open drops between sections], the only thing missing is the boxes to get up to the 'normal' entrance. This makes me wonder if this was a path to OZ 7 that was also removed.

heheh - no :p but I did see the doomie when it was accidently spawned into the maze :D

The only place I currently haven't fully explored is the main sewer, well I also have never been in a CM or TG clan appartment, but I've seen the rest.
has anyone ever seen the yellow sphere in the mb, or any of the other spheres around neocron.

Been killing y-bots with my clan a couple times.. it's a blast. They've got decent AI, and live long enough that you get to see it in use.
But I know how you feel... I've seen very little of NC, too.

Me (PPU nOOb) & a friend (nOOb Tank) took 90 minutes to kill a Y. Replicant Commander once when he mistakinly thought you had to kill one for the TT epic. Turned out we only had to kill the level 95/95 version, lol only took 2 mins.
Now tell me about teh Robotic Shark.
Anyone remember when the warbot use to spawn in storage 8, ahhhh the good ole days. :rolleyes:

so OZ7 is closed off now? and where is Dark Metal at in the wasteland???
been to and lvled in all those places mentioned...probably done everything....god, i've even walked to regants legacy to see what it looked like and swam in all the seas around NC wasteland and found most of the mobs with special names like small reaper galapus and shit. :(
In my experiance, the problem was that there's so much in the world but so few places worth going to see. It really dampens the enthusiasm when you turn a corner and find the street you're in is exactly the same as the one I went into.
On a side note, has Gaia Mines been altered or something? I went in there a while back, really tesne and paranoid, expecting to see the fabled "Amok STORM Bot" but it was empty.
I'd like to go into Regant's Legacy too. But again, it was a long ride out there just to find it was closed off which once again is a major kick in the teeth for exploring.

Amok COPBOT ... used to be out in the wastes with the other copbot that's out there, I only ever met one, a long time ago.
At least...I think :p mighta been a dream.
Anyway, The "Two" Gaia mines that have mobs in, are connected, though you can only access one from the main one, and not the other way around (drop down into a pit and walk out), the smaller one is just a long corridor and one room.
The big one is huge..
The empty one is pretty big too :p

Never had either of those probs myself and I used to live in there before it got nerfed to hell.
The main Mobs are Malfunctioning STORM Units (MalStorms to their friends) which drop STORM lasers and rare parts.
There are also two lesser copbot types - Copbot Renegade (who drop Renegade Armour Parts) and other junk & Berserk Copbot (who drop Defunct CopBot Ethic Chips and other junk).
There is also a Tacholytium Titan Warbot in the "end room" who drops nothing atm but IIRC will do so for the Crahn ER.
There are two places the STORMs can appear now (though I seem to remember them appearing in 2 or 3 others before so maybe they still do so v. rarely).

Actually, there's two.

If you wanna be really picky, there are three mine zones.... :P
Just that one is enclosed inside another.. which has too entrances too it (of which one cannot access the second area anyway).
while you lot are talking about stormbots etc.. i came across a killer copbot the other day while in the swamps on the road to Regants Legacy. i've never seen that mob before in all the time i've hunted in those swamp parts. was this just a 1 off or has they always been there and i've just missed seeing them. said killer copbot had a slowfire on him and didn't need hacked either.

If memory serves, it's part of the CityAdmin Epic.
oops so in that case i may have ruined it for someone. oh well it had nothing on it sept the slowfire. which when i zoned vanished from my inventory.
He spawns over and over and over...etc.
And if you are doing the epic he spawns a really cool named chip called "Fucked up law chip*
so that case i can imagne another strange sight i saw out in the swamps. there was a FA security turret in the middle of no where. i guess thats another epic run related item as well.
Ive pretty much explored everywhere.
Ive killed every mob in the game, from sewer flies to Mc5 Commander. i've even killed the apparition after a GM spawned one way back in december when i was a tank, and i still have the energy soulblade to prove it :)

Hehe, I had to kill one too for the City Admin Epic. It was scary, I hitched a ride with a good friend way out into the wastelands close to regent. Then we stood on a big platform we found looking for the copbot... then I heard "I SEE HIM!".
It freaked me out! I just started shooting my plasma rifle at him (he was pretty far away, probably only one out of four bursts hit him if I was lucky), and before I knew it he was RIGHT BESIDE ME!
We both played cat and mouse with him trying to get the LE chip he had inside, and we finally killed him! But my friend died... and I forgot to loot him... So while he ran back, I had time to kill another, and I got my City Admin armor.

I thought I had killed everything in the game except I went down into one of the outzone storages 2 I think to test out some newly constructed spells and ran across a Queen Fierce Poisonous Spider.
I didn't remember seeing one of those before.
Really makes me wish I knew about that when I was doing all of those kill fierce spider missions when I started out.

I have seen everything there is to see...every inch of it. during beta i was a NCAT (trial GM) and when there were no tickets i used to explore. the Northern most Gaia mine entrance actually used to have mobs in it. storm bots and whatnot. but like most other things in neocron....they were abandoned... gaia mines A, regants, oz 7, some of the main sewers, the list goes on....
