Guess again. People who have been around will recognize this, last time it was Tanks, now the turn has come to PEs and Spies. I got my internet connection back today and to celebrate Ive decided to fire up the old brag-o-tron. The statement is simple: There is no Spy or Private Eye who can beat me in a one-on-one duel, if you think different, contact me ingame or PM me here on the forums. If you dont put your money where your mouth is Ill harass you forever (and thats a long time). Hell, Ill even throw in a cash reward if you can beat me, unfortunately im poor atm so I cant give ya more than 100k.

**edit: Duels are best out of three. Everything that you can use is allowed except stealth (it just makes the duels take longer). No outside interference or buffs etc.

what about damage boosting? freezing?
limited to 3rd or 1st person?
can you use cover? how bigs the arena? do you have a 3rd party kicking off the event?
you use neofrag or reality?
can you zone during battle like pepper park weirdo's?
tbh neofrag should be as follows:
join and choose a class - get that class but with all stats at 200, choose 5 items (max statted) can be weapons, infinite booster, infinite drugs - whatever, maybe even 10 items and splity into subclass, i.e 3 weapons, 5 spells, 2 'use' items

as we sometimes know what happens after NF, if you kicked someones arse easily - soon as you leave you do it and hack his belt :/

think he`s pistol cant remember though he plays his monk 99% of the time.

but im playing my marshmellow most of the time atm and he just needs a herc to be complete now :)

duells done in neofrag arena 1, in the classic duel place. Use any items you can, just not stealth. No zoning. The duellists gets to prepare and then a third party counts down. Pretty standard NC duelling stuff.

n1n3 as anything but a monk is scary it scared me enough when his jupi char went to pure ppu
my jupi char is still hybrid i refuse to lom to pure as pures suck ass. some how even with hybrid nerfs i still hold an insane rank though :( every other hybrid dropped down to like 55/xx or something im still at 86/xx :mad:

Im on right now, come fight me. I moved so Ive been gone for a month but now Im settled in and got my connection back so there will be no problems finding me online now.
and as for using stealth, I have stealth myself, so thgeres nothing unfair about that rule, its simply because the duels takes too long with people stealthing, and suddenly its no longer duels it becomes hide-and-seek instead.

rade i was just out having a smoke and i just realised something
fenix is offline until about 6pm tonight as he`s at work so it cant have been him.
nobody else has access to his pe account except him.
have you got any chat logs or a screen shot or 2 to prove its him?

He is online right now, shows on the NDA rooster. But it wasnt a duel however, I ran into him and a rifle PE chick outside MB and jumped em, chased of fenix and started fighting the chick but we were just missing eachother and then fenix came back so I decided to leave, problem was that I had forgot to restock on damageblockers and staminaboosters so they were chasing me around forever while I was crawling around the place :P
**edit: oh and Ive been using blacksun for a long time now, I think I was one of the first ppl that started using that, wasnt anyone around on pluto that was using it anyway, and QD said that he didnt think it was any good when I asked him back then, he was sold on the tangent epic pistol.

Why wouldnt I? I went to MB to get some action and killed escape and some CA noob (twice, second time was an accident, sowwy bout that). And then after a while Fenix. and another NDA PE chick came there and started looking for me. Whats so weird about that?
I donno, I did the TT epic so I could try that pistol out but I think it sucks *shrug*

After having just recieved a very worried email from Fenix saying "i am at work it wasn't me that rade fought" and worrying his account had been haxed, I got another email letting me know he figured out who was on his account (his brother) and that he will take you on later Rade, and I assume he will be taking on his brother later as well. (glad i'm not a fly on the wall in that house :p)
To make Fenix feel better I will post this for him :D

yeah, for some reason I couldnt aim worth shit, but the only reason I ran was that fenix came back after healing up and I didnt feel like getting into it all over again. Hey cyl0n if you have a PE perhaps you wanna duel me?

omg oops :p It wasnt his brother logged in, it was me. Fenix's pe is on my account. I logged on to speak to some pluto people (cyl0n) and i was at mb, then got jumped by rade when i was unbuffed. If you are gonna have a duel. At least make sure your character is set up the way you intended for it to be (imps and such), that way you don't have any excuses once you lose.

Rizzy plays a rifle PE on saturn fyi, not alot of difference ye know considering he use RoG, aka close combat pistol and rifle alike.
Yeh I guess the problem was I panicked :p i really didnt fancy like dying and maybe dropping his lib and I didnt even know whether I should have attacked or not.

FYI, I havent logged my pe in about 2 weeks. Infact I havent really done anything in neocron for a good week or too. College just started for me and im spending time getting used to it and socialising. No, I'm not scared of fighting anyone but I do like to fight people when im a bit warmed up or atleast back in the swing of the game.
Also I play my monk the most :)

Is it still going to happen in neofrag?
The lifts in there are a bit buggerd so u can expect to get shot after u have used a lift as to other people you are still hovering at either the top (if u went in an up lift) or the bottom (if you went down in the lift).
I rember seeing a cool place somewhere in the outzone a while back (or could have been industral) that would be good for a dualing tournament. Though dont ask me for directions :confused:.

Regarding the old Tank challenge... only parad0x and elky baby managed to beat me back then. I was having a crappy day tho, I think I should have beaten elky.. parad0x handed me my ass however, he was the only one that I felt that I couldnt beat.

hehe ali, the problem is that this is the only way to get a reaction from the community, if i wouldnt be a loudmouth then no one would actually face the challenge. I learned that when I tried to fight all the tanks wayback, for a few weeks I tried to silently duel everyone but everyone declined, then i got tired of it and came shouting to the forums and suddenly everyone wanted a piece of me. And i dont need tips on how to handle my social life or how to do pubs, its going great as it is and always have.
and lexxuk.. i fought duder in a fight night already, id love to fight her again tho. you can never get too much duels on yer hands you know.. :P

I might be the way it supposed to be, but from my point of view of a fast pistol PE: I'll beat these 628m pretty much as fast as you need to get your lock on...

anywayz im still convinced if a rifle pe and a pistol would duel in wasteland the rifle pe would have the greatest advantage and would win if the pvp is as good as the one of the pistol pe
and becauz ur both pe u have the same defense so if the pistol pe could get to the rifle pe and try;s to shoot he should have already lost bout 200 hp if ur doing it good ofcourse :)
than the rifle still would have the greatest advantage but in close combat like in pepper park pistol pe would own the rifle
Gurtjan, thats sorta a moot point since a good rifle PE beats a good pistol PE at any range. Rifles are superior to pistols in all ranges.

I have been playing Neocron for quite some time, and I have been active in PvP since before christmas. But since Im european I havent had the oppurtinity to join in on the big fights that occur late on US time, the effect is that there are alot of people that I havent fought much. Now, the reason behind the Tank-Challenge back in the days, and the PE/Spy-Challenge now is this: I have done alot of OP combat, usually heavily outnumbers since virtually all my clanmates always have been living in different timezones. I prefer "real" combat before duels by horselengths, as a matter of fact I dont really find duelling that fun...
But heres the problem, I know Im good, one of the best, or perhaps the very best. I have grand memories of singlehandedly killing 8 near capped players inside an enemy OP filled with artillery-, gatlin-, and stunturrets, (this being before stealth came in the game). I remember killing STEALTHs 5-man strong gank team of capped players outside military base when they came to get me after I had caused trouble there for a while. These are not isolated events, even tho those two are the most extreme. But then theres all the people I will never meet on the battlefield, people Ive never been at war with, people who usually are in completely different timezones, people who dont go to stop people that are raiding TG/MB/TH/PP etc. And for some reason all these people who Ive personally never had the pleasure of fighting, have a tendency of talking trash to me whenever I meet them. Every single day I meet someone who says something about how much I suck, and how much they would own me. And yet they wont fight me in a duel, and if, god forbidd, I would be bussy with something and not have time to duel them they will rub it in my face endlessly.
Now for the second part. I was as modest as you can be for a long time. Then I wanted to fight all the tanks in the game, to see if I could actually take on them all. I tried asking politely for duels for weeks, but everyone declined, because they didnt know who I was, and if I posted a challenge on the forums I would never get a responce. After a while I got tired of it and realized that the only way anyone will actually listen to what you say, is if you throw in a shitload of attitude in your posts. It doesnt matter if its a brainport idea or a clan politics discussion but if you are polite and boring it doesnt matter how many good points you make, you wont get many replies because there are about one hundred times as many people that wants to flame compared to how many that wants to bump your points with a simple "good idea" post. This is the same reason you should never post a flawless idea on the brainport, you wont get any replies. Change your idea to make it flawed and then correct it later on in the discussion that follows about your "in theory good"-idea.
Well, rant mode off. What it comes down to is this, Im tired of cheap talk and want everyone to let their actions show what theyre made of. Im tired of having people who dont have a clue of whos good and whos not telling me I suck all day, so now its time to put the cards on the table and, unfortunately, duelling is the only way to do it.
itll be fun to fight, but where are the fights at in nf????
Rade - I know ur good m'dear, and if I still had my rifle PE, I'd have loved to have duel'd you (and I woulda won too :D). Maybe one day when I get a PE back, I can kick ur ass in NF a few times ;)

If you beat me with blacksun, you will lose with lib, and if you lose with blacksun, you will lose worse with lib.... blacksun is overpowered vs other pistols and ill prove it.
I understand having to put dowen the attitude thing though, nobody on saturn will fight me. I have had duels with like 10 capped people, mostly new dawn, and thats it. I dunno what the hell i have to do to make them fight me.

rade vs. fenix was both blacksun, rade still won. i dont see how both of u using lib would really help
I dueled Vet in Saturn :p he's damn good. But I hate tanks more than PE's :D

A bit of clarification.
When zoneseek won that pvp tournament he knew it was coming up. In preperation he played his Pistol PE for two weeks strait, dueling alot in NF and PP1. When he focuses on a player, he can become extremely good with him.
But...zoneseek is not your regular player. He has 8 different characters on saturn, and thats not counting uranus and pluto. For the previous 10 days or so zone had been playing multiples of his characters on a daily basis. His PPU, his Rifle PE who he had just made, his tank as usual for op wars and his spy for the hell of it. When you play all 4 classes in one day, on a daily basis, you lose your prime aim with a certain class/weapon.
Both fights against Vet were hairline endings. I believe the last one was 26hp left on Vet. And zone tried with both his tank and pe, because his pe aim was extremely off.
Next time there is a saturn pvp tournament im sure zone will focus on one of his characters primarily for at least a week beforehand, and hopefully you will show up Vet...because you really haven't seen zone in dueling mode, you have seen him in jack-of-all-trades mode...
At least he accepted the challange.

Don't think Vet has T-C so could be a lil hard with BS vs BS, which will on the other hand also be a disadvange for Rade if he has to do Lib vs Lib since he'll have a great deal lower RoF than Vet.

Clarification, I havent fought vet yet, hes talking about zone. Also I have chosen a tech setup, vet has chosen a non-tech setup. My character is made to use the blacksun, I dont get nearly as good stats on a liberator as I would if I made a liberator setup such as vet has done. Vet you chose the liberator, I didnt chose it for you, fight with whatever setup you prefer and I will do the same, thats what this duel is about. Then afterwards we can do some weird duels if you want but thats beside the issue.
Ok Im back in the town where my comp is, will be online today/tonight. Hopefully we can duel tonight vet :D
Also for everyone else who wants just a friendly fight (mymblyfish/hinch/shadow dancer) just grab me ingame :P Did varaem become computer-less just today or?

uh kimmy... I wasnt bragging there, I was simply answering the question. Q: Have you fougth zoneseek? A: Yes. next logical question next poster woulda asked: who won? A: I did. Now, zone said he was rusty on the PE, and I said, I can understand that, it happens to me too. However, I dont like your lies. It was in no way hairline. I won with 126, not 26, and the second time was about 190. As you know, you take less and less damage as hp goes down, for example, at 50 hp it takes 2 cs blasts to finnish me. So i could still have taken a lot of hits. Second, He challenged me. He insulted me for a few days over ooc, then fought me. He said this is his way of getting fights, trash talking, regardless, he challenged. Lastly, there is no argument, blacksun is easier then liberator to win with, PERIOD. So i dont give a damn who it is or what condition, when I beat someone using a superior weapon, I feel accomplishment, unlike I did winning with BS, its like beating a T72 Tank with an M1A2 Tank....who the hell cares? its not an even fight.
And a further challenge to BS owners... fight me with lib, and a monk can come in and give youPC 2 or PC 3. Whatever RoF you need to feel comfortable with lib. With PC3, you will have far above my RoF with lib. You want to go around killing people and have the most effcient weapon: Blacksun? I understand that... but at least admit its too good compaired to other pistols and either a) other pistols need a boost or b) BS needs a nerf.

match with that tank (forgot his name :| ) beat rade but used
freezer cannon so it didn't "count" hrhr.
I'm pretty sure I won every match (even pulled baseball bat out
as a finishing move when rade had low hp) but it was all for fun.
Rade said something about lag in neofrag causing the bad aim :o
I hope i earned rade's respect from those matches, rade is pretty

Actually, It took you like 2 weeks until we fought, by then I had killed every tank I fought best out of 3 with. The duels where done with freezer cannons and everything so that wouldnt have been an issue... Anyway, you handed me my ass 3-0, and that was the end of that pissing contest. I did however have some bad lag but I dont think that would have made a big difference to the result, maybe I coulda won one duel, still would have lost best out of three.

the first, I lost, i didnt have my med energy belt on, i had died pking, and forgot to put it on. I said "wtf" tomyself at the damage i was taking, and bingo, saw the problem. Then when i had it on i won. If u want more duels, you know the name, Sgt.Striker

However, I see it as pretty sad you darent take on the rest of the other 2 classes, you know, the big guns, APU's and Tanks.
I just see the challenge as cutting off 99% of the skilled user base in Neocron, Do you fear then that your con setup isnt good enough for a tank and APU? there cant be any other explanation, except you admit you do not win 100% of the time against those 2 classes.
Another point, Dualing is stupid, it shows skill one on one, sure, But in reality, Fighting in Neocron is never one on one.

Dueling is like a sport its got nothing to do with OP fights. Its about skill one vs one, fully prepared, no excuses. Saying stuff like that is like saying boxing is so sto0pid in a war you wouldnt be punching each other thered be big planes and wheel thingies and tanks and guns and crap...

Fought dant3 a couple of times, good pistol PE, and im getting a bit tired, I wont in the end anyway tho. like 4-2 or something.. we managed to get a simoultaneous kill once.
Fought nonamebrandeggs. i feel sorry for spies that doesnt wear inq-1.
I fought vets pe on saturn with my pe 5 times and with my tank once, I'm not going to post results though as he was clearly not at his best so it wouldnt be of value.
Im tired, too many fights today. Ill fight u tommorow.

and i would like a couple of warm up's, when i fought hinch and fenix PE i reliesed that im rusty on my spy... both lost.. but i lost to fenix tank :\

Oh Ill fight ya k4f, however the rules are clearly stated in this thread: Everything goes except stealth. No outside interference. No interfering with each other before duel. Simple.
rade he was completely help less :) ie no external help and no stealth
also my cs did about 24 damage to you per hit :) to him it did about 12 !! and he`s a spy

Yesterday Marneus Calgar moaned that my PE was using a shelter in a duel (thats the point of a PE's defence no ?) Anyway I shelterd him aswell just so he'd stop moaning lol, had our fight and had a bang on dead draw, both killed eachother with our last shot :p anyway he wouldnt fight me a second time unless I shelterd him :lol:
As for you being a spy, a spy can get both superior defence and offence compared to a PE so dont give me that piece of BS. But ok, I will fight you without using my spells and other tools I have if you wont use a gun with higher TL than say, 90.
Anything other than everything goes is just plain cowardly, its like fighting a tank saying you can wear armor or whatever, if you want a straight up duel Ill give you one, but none of this restriction BS, a class is a combination of all its assets, if you remove tools that it has at its disposal when you are duelling you are hardly getting a outcome that represents how good each player and their characters is.

a PE still got good defence with other buffs.. shelter... blessed def.. haz\heat 1 etc....
and no i dont use shelt on my spy.. cba to lom psi or give up wep lore...

Yes, I never said that a PE had bad defence, but a Spy can get better. Simple math really. So dont use that old "im a poor spy, im paper, wha wha wha" crap, its outdated and its not true.

but considering how long it took to actually damage me i dont see why nobody beats him sooner
hinch maybe something to do with egos plus combat don't match. i'd imagine those that have lost against Rade. have gone into the fight taking an ego that says they'll knock Rade down a few smug lvl's. instead of going into the fight thinking about they're skills in combat.
could be i tend to go into fights knowing im going to die

I went into the fight wondering why the hell i like Hinch and cyl0n after they put ME forward to fight rade o_O plus my PE is good, but cmon rade's got 10-11 months experience with a PE ive got 1 month plus my char isnt capped CON yet, no real excuses for losing but you get the Idea :p
so in other words you had already excepted defeat before you even faught him.

nono, I went in thinking what the hell, worth a try, I can beat just about anyone else I fought. Sofar the only smurf to kill my tank in a duel is REMUS and well, he was on like 30 health...

I Fought Maximus Decimus at Jeriko twice and he raped me a extra hole o_O was wondering why i was taking 44 a hit from his blacksun anyway was talking with him about CON and armour setup's after the fight and about 15 mins after the duels i realised that I had VK armour and poison belt on because he was poisoning me in PP with his APU before hand :rolleyes: gonna rematch tonight, with teh proper armour on :p Damage from his blacksun went from 44 damage down to 22 \o/ :lol:
