I just died in Neocron >=( then relogged and :eek: 800 ping. Reconnect relog. :eek: 800 ping. I did a trace route and got this, can anyone help me out if the problems at my end? (usually ping of about 80 - 120).

well it looks like your route path is just experiencing some heavy traffic loads.

give it a little bit and see if it doesn't speed up for you.

Since you're getting poor response times from all the points it could be lag distributed across the entire path or your closest upstream router (213.121.147.46) ...

I've been lagging a lot today too, died twice killing the same warbot titan, all of a sudden it stops moving, then appears right beside me standing over my corpse

Your ISP's peering with Level3 at LINX is fucked.

There's currently some sort of nasty packet spewing going on on some of LINX's switches.
They are handling 3 times the normal average number of packets/second. This will lead to all sorts of flakiness aside from bog standard ICMP ping times.

Could either be a router/switch problem, or a DoS attack. Either way it will normally clear up relatively quickly.

(LINX = London Internet Exchange ... the place where various ISPs inter-connect [Peer] with each other)


Edit: As of 19:51 UK BST it's already starting to clear up - if this was the cause of your problem you should be seeing an improvement already
