New cannon needed

Currently it is difficult (for a new player) to become a heavy weapons tank, and as noticed on another thread the tanks starting equipment currently includes pistols/rifles/melee but no heavy weapons.
I belive thier needs to be either a new range of cannons or a very low TL starting cannon available.

Prahaps the new cannon type could be like the Gatling cannon but only fire one shot at a time and not need any TC (prahaps a bit like a sniper rifle in that it uses several rounds of ammo in one shot but takes a while to reload).

or

something like a TL 4 laser cannon.

Any thoughts?

Yeah or a very low level version of the plasma wave as it currently onl yhas 1 version.

Pistols/riflers/droners/monks have their very low level weapon range for day 1 so should tanks..

a whole range of low tl weps across the board... gatlins/plas,lasers, etc etc :p

bah just use a knife, only takes half hour to get the str for the lasercannen :P

For an experienced player like yourself maybe, but a new player may find it somewhat a daunting prospect to level up to use a heavy weapon (apart maybe grenades and grenade launchers)

Is that so tough to reach with melee?
If you're lucky enough to be able to mod it with napalm that's all you need to start killing your way to the heavier weapons. :p
