just wondering who here has played a game in the series, when was the first time, what games you own, etc...

har har nid, you know you wanna respond :p

i had heard about it for years, though i got gta1 like .... 4 years ago or so, never beat it, just had a lot of fun stealing cars, avoiding cops, etc.... GURANGA, i now own GTA3 which i beat, and GTA Vice, which im on the 2nd to last mission, havent played it since i got to it, ill get back to it one of these days... I have all the assets, homes, 99 of 100 hidden packages, (i think my game is bugged, cause the one in the movie studio in that bathroom isnt there....) cba to do all the rampages and stuff, not sure if i have done the secret jumps, i havent died once (well i have, but i reload the game when i do :p) or gotten busted (same applies :p :p) anyway... so since when have you played? (oh, and i constantly have 125 hlt :p)

well it's been a while now. only GTA2 have i not played. i'd suggest for GTA3 that you get the unoffical tools. have a go at moding the cars and the maps.

I played GTA 1, 2, 3 and Vice City. GTA2 didn't do it for me, it didn't felt the same as GTA1, but they improved soo much when they added the 3D world.
It's one of those games I love, because you are free to do whatever you want. Wether that's beating up old ladies or stealing a bike and play some road rash.

i got the psx version of GTA. i still love the radio stations. though vice city was a bit commercial tune wise. though i do play the rap station the whole time in vice city and the dub station in gta3.

I actually think GTA2 was the best of the series. GTA3 is almost as good but not quite. I've played Vice City but not very much, it feels too much like it's just 3 with a few things swapped around, whereas moving from 1 to 2 to 3 there were real advances made. Shame they took out the multiplayer in 3 though. :(

GTA3 and GTA:VC are 2 of the best games ever.

Unfortunately I played GTA:VC around the same time my heart was broken by a girl I cared about deeply. :( So now it always reminds me of her. :( And i cant' play it again. :(

god, i forgot the other ones atm... there were tons of funny ones (btw www.hiphophunnies.com actually exists, and it sells like a porn movie or something... O_o so they even made a porn movie to "make the game more realistic" horny bastids  :p )

I agree, gta2 kinda killed off gta for me, and the london expansion was to be polite, testicles. When got my ps2 iw ant really impressed with any of the games, and than gta3 came out in all its 3d glory, i was hooked again, though vice city was a bit of a let down for me.

Oh yeah and road rash pwned, but never forget teh afterburner.

I started with GTA 2, played the London Version, went on to GTA 3, and Vice City. I never played GTA1 but I did hear about it alot with all the whiney parents on the news, etc....

I still haven't finished Vice City, I'm taking my time with it, I can only get my partners killed so many times in the bank robbery

Thats nothing new!
The Multiplayer mode for GTA3 was released few months ago.
Its unofficial, but hey! Who cares? :D
I liked all the GTA series.
For me it started with GTA1... And i played it 24/7/31/12 :D
It was so kewlz runnig around killing the cops and beating myself after i ran onto the rails... *g*
For me, GTA:VC was greatly improved because GTA3 i played only on my PS2 and i got GTA:VC for PC so the new graphics were so awesome.
But i allways remember the beginning... Sitting in front of the PC with friends all day/night long...

GTA was a total classic, el burros van mission was funny as hell.

GTA london was a nice little addon and remaking the italian job in the minis was always fun :D

GTA 2 was a nice update and pushed the series but they couldnt do more with 2d

GTA 3 was stunning, mind bendingly epic and beautifull, I played it in complete shock for the first few hours.

GTA: Vice City is one of the best games I've ever played, its a defining moment in gaming history, if people havent played this game they are mad, sad or in a coma.

GTA series are great. PC Gamer UK recently put Vice City as its number one game of all time, which has caused all sorts of arguing. Personally, I think GTA 3 on PC was better, Vice City isn't that much different. Of course, I was one of the 5 people in the world that actually got GTA 3 to run smoothly on my PC without bugs....

i've played them all and still love them.

Hardest things you could do in them....

1) Try driving the fastest cars at each level or new board and follow the rules of the road for an hour.

2) actually try to complete all the motorcycle jumping areas in each board gta1 without dying.

3) see how long you can hold out against the armed forces..

4) try and build a 4 corner car pile-up barracade so no one can get in but you in the middle.

5) piss off every faction to the worst ability then run around their compounds and see how long you can last without armor and a pistol only.

Just a few of the things I used to do from when i first started playing GTA when it came out.

I forgot to add with number 1 you can't get into accidents either.. i mean full rules stop on red lights and everything.. not even killing a pedestrian

GTA owns; started with GTA1 when a friend in the dorm showed it to me...

"check this out dude!"

me- "huh?"

5 minutes later

me- "HOLY SHIT DUDE U CAN KILL EVERYTHING!!! GIMMIE!"

luv GTA1,2; GTA3 was fucking awesome; made a bunch of mods for it too (double barrel tank; Insta-Climb Tank (i did the first insta-climb; the other spiderman moster trucks were just ripoffs); home run punch)

GTA Vice was nice too; i got 14/15 propertiesl; cant figure out which one i missed... then i think my game is bugged cuz i cant get the next missiosn...

oh yeah, CHATTERBOX RULES! (speaking of which i still need to call Fernando, "New Beginnings")

:D
