From the test server 211 patch notes.


- Adjusted construction brain imps (3/5/8 CST -> 5/10/15 CST
- Added rare "Machina Gloves" (+5 DEX or INT, +15 CST or RES or IMP or REP or REC, +10 TRA, -100 PC/RC/RCL/MC/HC)

I don't know yet how the machina gloves work - but I suspect it goes in place of your PSI gloves. I will have a look when I finish work!

Now KK only needs to improve slot chances with higher construction skill, and everything is perfect :D
[Im not even capped, so I could get to 295 Construction when capped :angel: ]
No I don't have any weapon skills, except my Heavy Combat for the new vehicles.

Those gloves probably wont have much of an end result for most people. But i tell you its really going to benefit pokers who have had to beef up their IMP skill hurting their combat ability. A 15 bonus to IMP means that someone with as low as 84 IMP (after imps) could poke mc5 with a glove and spy3. Shame they will be adding more rares to the rare part pool indirectly making getting the thing you want even harder =/

Therefore they increased the drop rate the last time (as they added a lot new rares).
I hope they will do the same again..

With the recent op changes and these gloves.. hopefully KK are trying to decrease the specialisation required for tradeskilling.

If they follow this change by increasing the rewards of seriously overspeccing cst, then I'll be very disappointed. It would basically cancel out the gloves (or worse, since these are rares).

They should also decrease the ratio on research needed to have 0% fail chance. Needing TL:Skill of 1:2 is too high, especially considering how much time researching high TL stuff takes.

And fix research generally.. eg, experience earnt, etc.

The gloves are nice, but there are other things that need fixing first (and without further diluting the rare pool).

Also.. does the proposed change to the cst chips mean that advanced nerves 3 will add +15 to research? eh?

I like the changes in a way, but unfortunately they are useless.

You get nothing anyway for being an über-constructor (level 250+).
So i will get +30 CST instead of +16 from the 3 chips. So i have level 196 (w/o buffs/fac) instead of 182. Fine. Difference? None.

I think some ppl would dissagree, if you can shout out const 255/150 you'll get more custom than the guy yelling 175/150...


just call's em as I see's em, uber consters get more jobs.

Yes, and why? Because 90% of the people are stupid and think a constructor with level 5000 is better than a constructor with level 150.

yes, but they know if somones realy 5000th level will be near pure tradeskill so if they rip you off then your spam would kill their char fast...

though I've yet to see spam kill a repairer, conster or resser yet.

Ya I love that shit.. having some guy running through plaza there is a guy there saying he is cst tl-195 and the guy running through says no i need uber cst tl200 plus..

man do people still not realise that slots are friggin random. I think it's funny as hell. I get my friend to build everything for me. He's not the highest cst person but just like anyone else slots are slots you get em you don't no one knows.

I think the gloves are awesome for me since I poke so i can take out some imp to put elsewhere and still poke mc5. Right now I can poke mc5 but only with spy 3.

uhhh what kinda requirements have the gloves got tho, for example, they cant be too high, most tanks repair, yet if its at like 80 dex they cant use the glove, make poking glove anything over TL 65ish and PE's wont be able to use it....

Personally I just wish csters could build all artifact items again. items sound good for non-capped or pure csters tho.

It's good for my Constructor/Droner. It means I could have a CST skill of 150 instead of 135.

Or I could LOM out some of my CST into more WPW for some more drone usage, but I'm waiting for my Droners Rigger Interface chip (KK thats a BIG hint! ;) )

lol... might have been ok before the overskilling, now it'd make slots near usless and overcapped consters needed far more...


I only use a conster if I like then name they got, cause if my items goning to have a built by tag, it's certainly not going to be built by \/3/\/0/\/\!10/\/311 or some shit like that...

hahaha, ahem, capped spies don't have to invest any points into construct to cap weapon damage and max the chance of getting slots....

How?

Factory +50
Cst 3 Boost +20
Imps + 45 (Cst 3 +15, Cst 2 +10, SS +10, Hawkins +10
Machina Glove + 15

=130 Cst without waisting any points on it and with a capped spy thats all you need.

Wanna go fight again...change your imps and your back to normal....who says you can't fight and construct?

I know this is a good patch... but after lomming into a high construct level, I just can't help but feel shafted in some way. :o

I think they're gonna release 5 different gloves for each skill
for example:
Construction Machina Glove
Research Machina Glove
Implant Machina Glove
Recycle Machina Glove
Repair Machina Glove

its great then ... more ways for the spy to be less gimped :D

I get the feeling that the spy is the most versatile class in Neocron ... lots of variations for roleplay, etc ;)

i agree with hellhound. my conster has been high level for ages hoping they would introduce a higher than cap = better slot chance patch and they give us new toys to play with. like eric said after you hit the cap then everything else just gimps your combat.

my main poker was 84 and i've lommed some points drone wpw into it and i'm one point off. (i dont even consider mc5 chips cos they are rarer than rocking horse shit) now we got these new toys that say "you didnt need to lom those points, so now you can lom them back".

Good... I was beginning to think that no one was seeing the worth of these things. 15 points you don't have to put into a tradeskill = 15 / 30 / 45 / 75 free points to add to your combat abilities.

If you've played on pluto recently you would see the need to make tradeskilling more of a secondary skill than a skill that sucks up most of your points.

Where have all the tradeskillers gone? :confused:

Oh wait... they don't want to waste their single character slot on a tradeskiller that can't fight.

And I don't blame them.

Ok here is the info, there are 5 gloves - so if it's a rare, thats at least 35 more parts to the pool - they are all TL60 gloves.

Recycle: Req. DEX 60 gives +5 INT +15 REC
Repair: Req. DEX 60 gives +5 INT +15 REP
Research: Req. INT 60 gives +5 INT +15 RES
Construct: Req. INT 60 gives +5 INT +15 CST
Implant: Req. INT 60 gives +5 INT +15 IMP (Should that be +5 DEX?)

All of the gloves give +10 TRA, and -100 PC/RC/RCL/MC/HC

Its a shame about 60 INT req's on cst and research gloves, I was hoping of doing a tradeskill melee tank, that has 50 in research and 50 in cst. then with a research/cst set of gloves, plus a OP and a cst 3 boost he would be a cooool TL 170 cst/res tank =]

Implanting has always been in INT ... dunno why people thinks its a DEX skill :wtf:

At the time I did think DEX had an influence in implanting. Taken from Lupus's skill guide.



Implant: 0.2(20%) DEX + 0.3(30%) INT + 0.5(50%) IMP


So DEX does effect implanting, but as you correctly said, INT influences implanting.
