Kazaa - And so it begins...

Lately I've been downloading songs off of Kazaa and all that I am getting are muffled and distorted versions. And I'm not talking about the latest music being released. I'm talking about random songs from the 80's, 90's, and recent as well. Seems that if the people who make music can't beat us, they join us. What does that mean? Well they get people (hundreds) to host music on their computer that is the real song and but is edited to sound like pure shit.

I gotta look for a new program.
First Napster, now Kazaa. I heard Audio Satellite was pretty good.

kazaa has been like this for a very long time...

50% of the songs i DL are actually short 10 second clips of other bands trying to get there music out.

I know this won't help you but.
SHoutcast is where it's at. I just listen on it, haven't downloaded a song in months!.

BTW imesh is 100x better than any other programs out there.

@Maddog: It's different now then what it was. It's never been so hard for me to find a song that I like that's not even recent.

could be true, i've only used it to d/l porn lately. But when i need a song, its never been a problem.

When you download a song off Kazaa... one thing you might wanna try is clicking on more search options. For most songs, under file size pick "at least" then select 3MB. Then under quality pick "at least" 128kbps. Hope that helps.

If you've got kazaa lite, click the "Automatically search more" box, and wait for it to do about 20 searches. 'Course, it doesn't help if no one has what you're looking for (DJ Doboy).

I use dc++ for looking up music and my tripleX movies... works like a charm.

Yes NNTP is better, but it requires more work on the users end, and most users are dumbasses. Because of this, newsgroups are neglected.

Same type of thing can be said about unix :eek:

Anyway NNTP > All, unless ur a mr.uber 0sec warez trad0r shelling new releases at 800k/sec from NuD to CAM, or something of that sort...then you are teh win

People, you need to get SoulSeek it is by far the best program to download music on, it's easy to find good quality downloads from fast connections. It finds whole albums at once making it easier to download. Try it you just might like it.

shoutcast rocks, theres no need to worry about downloading songs etc just tune in kick back and chill out......
