Here is a sample of it.....
Monster AI is one of those features that if it is bad can utterly frustrate and annoy players. For this reason we have been working hard on creating interesting creatures that act in a variety of interesting ways. Firstly, every creature has different levels of intelligence. Some are stupid and will only attack the last person to hit them, some are smart and will focus on the person who seems most dangerous, or the weakest. What's more, some creatures hate certain races or even specific items or colours. You can use this to your advantage when hunting or if you're not careful it could be your downfall as you, quite literally, do the red rag and bull thing.
Also, every monster can learn from their experiences. If a monster is wounded and escapes from the players (some will try to avoid all players) it might get angry and the next players it sees it will try to fight, perhaps totally out of character for its species. Monsters as a group can learn too. Spawns may move as a monster group finds success or failure in an area and some monsters will be strictly nocturnal.
We believe this combination of interesting features will help to make monster hunting less of a chore and more of an adventure. While experienced players will get a feeling for the behaviour of each monster there will always be the chance of the monster doing something unexpected to keep things exciting!

I always thought that would be the most overlooked upcoming mmorpg.

I don't think WoW will suit the tastes of the people in the community. They went so far to discourage pvp and other player conflict(kill stealing, so on) that they are actually going to give groups private dungeons to hunt in.
Sounds like an EQ rip off with a few more carebears, but that is just me.

I like to belive I am a forum member who has two sides.
On one hand, I like to be annoying, a bit of a rebal, silly, eccentric with obscure polls from time to time.
On the other hand I am somebody who cares deeply for Neocron. I make a lot of good suggestions, as well as a few bad ones, somebody who contributes in a big way to the brainport.

........even though warcraft 3 is probabally my favoraite RTS at the mo? And the only RTS/RPG hybrid that isn't crap?
Plus Diablo 2 was good in it's day. The Neverwinter Nights of it's time.

Only one MMORPG is a non fantasy one, and that's matrix online which will probably suck big time.
I'm so fed up with all the fantasy RPGs already. I don't even try them out. Dragons, wizards, middleages whatever... always the same thing in every game.

Look at warhammer online...
It might have elves ans things, but it is a shade darker than any MMOG I've seen in some time, also theres the tech element, rifles and such.. chaos running around if you cast too many spells in one area, casting spells damages the player, large things that'll kill you as soon as they'd look at you.. undead nastys...
All sorts.
Though DoY will be the best ever.
Here's my choice for other. Mythica looks like it's be a really cool game and nice way of handling some of the problems most MMORPGs have.

I hate fantasy based MMO's, the genre has been done to death already in Single Player and limited multiplayer (eg Diablo series). Futuristic/sci-fi/cyberpunk is the way to go.

its like what Neocron could of been if KK had dropped the stupid levelling system and spent time on adding depth, content and reasoning behind the factions instead
Of course its not even in closed BETA yet - so NC's where I'm at for a while yet :D
