Battlecruiser series.

Just noticed that Battlecruiser Generations are soon to be released. I`ve been looking for a space-sim like Elite and from what I read this game seems to have that hardcore sim feeling to it. Tried freelancer, but to much airplane controls for my liking.

Has anyone here played earlier Battlecruiser games, what you think about it?

I`ve tried to find battlecruiser millenium in stores, but I guess its to old. Anyone know if this abandonware by now?

And finally, anyone know of any other games that are true to the Elite "feeling"?

you should try a game called Hardwar, I believe if you do a search you should be able to download it for free from the net...it is a pretty cool game though!!!!

I tried battlecruiser Millenium. Its a buggy POS (unless its had uber patching). Also it doesnt have the quality and feel of other elite type games.

Freelancer is one to check out. But its not as good as it could have been. it seems microsoft bought it out half way through development and dumbed it down :(
