how do i configure my browser?

im trying to get to http://www.circusmagick.da.ru/ but i get time out straight away, i know the site is on there, so im guessing its freeserves fault. how can i change my browser to get there?

well either the webpage is down server side, a route from your location to the webserver is borked or you're having DNS resolution issues.

You can test all 3 at once by typing in the actual IP address of the website and not the FQDN (ie http://62.xxx.yy.zz or something). this will bypass the DNS request and attempt to go directly to the webserver. If this works and the page loads then you might have a problem with your DNS server. If it doesn't work but you can still get to other websites then your DNS server is fine but the site or route is borked.

edit the following file in notepad

c:\windows\drivers\etc\hosts
(replace windows with winnt on 2000 machines)

add this line to the top of the file

213.59.0.84 www.circusmagick.da.ru
