I got a new ish computer using windows XP and now theres something seriously wrong with it! I have about 3 minutes from when I connect to the internet before it goes wrong!
Shit its up now..

Remote procedure protocal?! (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly

HELP ME PLZ! There is a patch for it im sure but the comp doesnt gimme time to DL it! anyone any ideas!

I cant be away from neocrack!

Leave ur net cable out of ur comp. Start up. Go to control pannel and activate the XP fire wall (or another fire wall if u have one). This should give u enough time to go and download the patches.

Enable the firewall as stated above and then dl the patch:

Control Panel -> Notwork and Internet Connections -> Network Connections -> Right click your internet connection icon and go to the "Advanced" tab. Put a tick in the box.

I don't know if the Windows firewall will stop it though. If it doesn't, then download and install ZoneAlarm from here:

The windows firewall does stop it, at least long enough to download the patch. Just spent an hour waiting for that worm scanner to check my system - clean, luckily. Maybe that's because I instantly thought when I saw the warning 'someones playing silly buggers' and shut my machine down manually. ;)

I haven't had any calls to fix this virus yet, which is surprising, but any extra info for solving it is much appreciated. :)
