Mission #A5297: Elite Storm Bots, DoY Bot Hunting

Mission #A5297: Elite S.T.O.R.M. Bots were called upon today to scout out and destroy a number of Dome of York Robots in an effort to capture and duplicate pieces of their technology. I was sent as an organizer and supplement to the already gathered force. I met up with the S.T.O.R.M. Bots at 1900.

After a quick gear check we were off to comb through the vast unknown that lay before us.

The hunt grew into the night, and under the cover of darkness we slipped deep into the enemy's territory.

After trekking through the deserts and wastelands all night to gain a position on our objectives, we spotted our first target...

As the target approached we confirmed it's identity and moved in to terminate.

When the target was in optimal range I gave the order to fire, and the Elite S.T.O.R.M. Bots began their onslaught.

The opponent was stronger than anticipated, but we continued our assault.

But as all enemies of Neocron, this opponent fell.

We loaded the remains into a transport hovertech, and I escorted it to an undisclosed remote location for deconstruction and reverse engineering. After the cargo was secured, my troops and I continued our march toward the DoY gates...

What was that? Some sort of private GM organized event ?

Ummm....your combing and slipping looks more like standing in one place. Mostly because there's that one damn hill, and your mini-map doesn't move at all from picture.

Oh, they weren't on the hover... they were right in front of it. I couldn't get a good angle, my char was torn up pretty bad... he could barely move when I took the screenie.

If you are city allied then find a clump of Elite Storms, scout a Johhny 5, shoot it once, and run like fuck for the Storm group.

Reverse if you are non city aligned (although don't expect to be successful often, unless you have a kickass PPU nailed to your butt. Elites hurt *lots* more than a Johhny - it takes about 5 or 6 of them to take down a Storm :D)

Yeah, I guess I underestimated S.T.O.R.M.'s before.... after messing around with this today I couldn't stop laughing when they toasted the Johnny 5. They even yelled warnings beforehand, I about fell out of my chair...

On a tangentially related note ... can we have the Elite Storms in the nothern sectors contain some worthwhile drops please ?

The Johhnys contain junk that you can sell to the NPC in Tangent HQ (no use to a TG runner, since he won't talk to you).

The Storms just disappear almost immediately without any loot.

Without men and woman like you who are willing to die for there believe in the city of neocron, al of us would be dead 2400 years ago. This undercover/infiltration/assasination missions are youre kind of meat ic, good work and continue youre brave efforts.
