I just put my whole cd collection (or at least, the portion of it I've gotten around to ripping since the last hard drive replacement) on shuffle. No real preference for genres within the collection or anything.

That means when playing NC, or any other game, I'm listening to a fairly weirdly contrasting mix of music.

Yeah i think it is, but wont it become a bit boring listening to the same tracks all the time?

Atleast i did it in the offline demo back when i was still waiting to get retail :P

theres (or i at least only found it recently) a new stream with hardcore from DI im listening to that a lot. when i get tired of that i go into Rock mode with Nine inch nail, metallica etc....
Sometimes theres some good pop in my playlíst as well.

Moby, prodigy, dune and linkin park are among my favorites.
otherwise i listen to a vast diverse amount of music. although alot of the "harder" DI radiostreams are really up my alley for computer gaming.
