Been trying to figure out at what stage I joined NC... I have been playing now since March / April 2002 - just over 16/17 months (I think). May have even been a little earlier.
Was that Beta 3 or 4 back then ?
ask yourself this...
Were you playing when it was open to anyone, or was it closed to a selected few hundred or more?

August 2001 was early b2... first non-german non-kk-friends i belive :)

are you sure beta4 was early 2002 ? i was introduced to neocron at the release of beta4....and the month was like july or august of 2002.

January 2002 was the official start of beta 3. Beta 4 started in June or July, can't remember rightly now.

EDIT : It was pre-beta 4 that started in July wasn't it ?
Yep I think ReefSmoker is right, I came round early august for beta 4 and they still didnt have beta for download publically, but you could make a account. Remember I had to take 6-8 hours to download the beta in 3 parts off other peeps servers and using kazaa lite.

B2 started in july 2001. ;)
I got my cd's somewhere around the 20th of that month.
Looks like it was Beta 4 then, because I don't ever remember signing an NDA - although I thought it was April / May time when I started.
Guess I'm a couple of months out :)
ah so B4 was private at some point eh....well then i started at its public release which was, as i said b4, late july to early mid august i guess.
then i remember how it was supposed to end like the first week of september i believe but they extended it for some reason...then they kept sayin 'omg let's end it now' but nooo another extension. heh i gave up by then...couldn't stand lvl'ing w/o clannie support.

back to topic, it was b3... just have a look at your cds, if you didnt get any cds, then you started playing b4 which started in june/july

correctamondo - i got my CD's before i registered for the non nda forums which i never posted in.
The closed beta had its own forums... you had to sign up to that i belive, took me about a month, bit longer to sign up for this one.

not quite sure when beta 3 started but it should be ending sometime soon :D :D :D

@ Crypto. Again: Ren didnt post the start, but a date when it was going on. Forseti posted the start. Both may be true and not corrects the over. Got it ?
