Then reinstall it....
Think that will fix my problem?

Here's the problem:

Ever since the last patch it takes me 30 to 40 seconds to zone or sync, I first noticed it on the Test Server in Test Patch 205, now it's happening on Retail.
This happens every time I zone.
Anyone else getting extra long sync's, recently?

Check out part of my Error Log(it's a fresh log):

There seems to be alot of errors relating to connection:

I dont get any extra long synchs or zoning, what I do know is that they have added another port that my firewall dislikes, could be your problem but I am not sure. Could also be hardware related.

EDIT: Sorry, it wasnt another port. It's that zone alarm was blocking the neocron launcher from reaching port 7000 on some host, thats all.

I have been taking extra time to zone as well it seems to me, often I'll zone with a group, go into "synchronizing", then by the time I get in the group's way ahead of me. Didn't use to be like that...

I haven't changed anything with PC or Internet connections, but my PC is going on about 3 years old.
I'm not sure what to check really, I Scandisk and defrag normally...

Also, I am still on my original install of Neocron(Nov. 15, 2002).

Neocron runs normal, it's just the zoning and sync'ing that's messed up.
This happens with the Firewall on or off.....

As this connection message appears in rows ...

i'd guess its a massive packet loss on the inet connection, forcing the client or server to resend the packages again and again till it stuck up to a synch/connection loss.

Any changes at your provider? maybe they installed a new routing software changed firewall settings ....

I've noticed GR'ing to ops now takes longer. Crossing zones hasn't changed for me. And also, repping to my apartment after death is just as fast as normal.

Probably won't help,
RB

None that I know of....

I have a cable connection that I share with my son through a hub, we both have static IP's, we both play Neocron at the same time, and he isn't having any problems, he does have a better PC, tho...
So would that rule out my ISP as the problem?
