Yes, maybe the Game Masters can also sort out the bugs, coding problems and clipping issues while they're busy with fixing the lag.

By the looks of that trace route, doesn't seem to be a problem. BTW GMs cant do anything about server issues like that, only Reakktor.

Probably 'cause we are already used to it?

The lag is horrible since yesterday, peaks up to 2000 ms. Yep, great.

/EDIT: Update - just had a peak of 2905 ms.. *thumbs up*

Erm I am a Lan Tech/ Server Admin by trade so please Shhhhhh...

If the Lan is OK then that means the issues are SERVER related. So I logical start to to reboot the server to refesh memory.

And if u logged into the server you would see the player base complaining.

Uhm, by the looks of it, your first hop is the issue at 1879ms ping, and it looks like an internal address for your own lan , maybe you need to look into some faulty equipment.

So the problem would be? it does fall out of sync quite a bit wen out in wastelands or goin down to a subway.

Legoias

NO there is just a massive pause where all runners and mobs etc stand still, then it looks like everyone disappears then appears seconds later.

and to the 1337 hax0r kiddies no that aint my ip address

My guess is, its his firewall saying "Echo Request to 62.140.29.54 - allow?" and the 1879ms is his "yep" reply.

Why dont u come over to uranus and watch the pings go from 30 - 2500 in some cases well over 5000. They watch all the people in OCC bitch about it. Geeze dude.

What the heck are you on about???

I've played on Uranus for about 7 months now, and apart from the odd sync error, I've never had no problems.

As for the ping, mine averages around 50, so god know's what you are doing wrong

Ok last night i went to pp for some duel, then we moved to neofrag. during a fight all 6 of us lagged out completely. RIP got pings of 5000, Xantor (lives in germany) got pings in the 100's and there was the rest. Between us we covered Germany, UK, USA, Austrialia....4 countries the only think in common was the server.

QuantumDelta
05-08-03, 03:14
Heh.
My typical ping:
50.
My typical lag:
(regular) 500-700.
My highest ping ever without crashing/lagging out:
7000.

Some slight problems over there.. :p

What I dont get is why someone who doesn.t play uranus see's fit to high-jack a legit thread just to stroke their ego. Yes there is a problem, a big problem. Op fights it gets worse where the whole zone starts to crawl.

Well i have played for about that and its gotten worser and worser as the months went on, did you make an account to defend someone else or something as i somehow disbelieve this comment full stop bearing in mind i see a large majority shouting LAG!!!!11 and i move like i am Neo, (freeze in the air for a good few seconds, land, dodge bullets (lost in lag) etc etc)

o_O

Infact i get more FRE's on Uranus alone than i do on Venus and Pluto together 8| so maybe FREs are related to lag somehow :p

The worse one (imo) when your are fighting 1 v 1 and the lag hits both players are staring right at each other and are raming the mouse button to make sure they get the firsty shot off when the server settels. It can be funny too :)

the server is laggy on uranus, its (from what ive read) the worst one. Ive only ever played on uranus, ive been playing for nearly 9 months, and yeah there is a shit load of lag. Btw im on 1mg broadband and i have a nice shiny 1.8ghz pc so i know its not coz im on a 486 or some bollox as quoted above.

Sam is right, whether or not hes a good server admin ill never know, im not pc literate like that. i can tell you i dont need an alphabet after my name to know that when im trying to fight someone and suddenly the people dissappear and then come back again 2 seconds later that its the LAG!

My theory is that instead of working on DoY, Reakktor have actually been finishing up the massively multiplayer verson of Lola Saves the Galaxy, and they're running the closed beta on the same machine as Uranus.
