PE weapons of choice?

I've got a PE on saturn that i just started so i could see what weilding a pistol was like. I must admit i've become somewhat addicted. Is a PE a viable option these days in PvP and what weapons are people using that seem to be the most devistating.

Blacksun. You can go with a gimp setup and drug to use the Ray of Last Hope but then you will have crappy resists, and it only does about 30% more damage than the blacksun, and you will have worse RoF.

Although i consider myself naive about this class, it seems that RoF is one of the most important things if you're gonna have a decent PvP PE

You can cap a Judge on dmg and rof with 'capped' resists with a PE.
Damage is goodish, pitty the aiming speed is worse than a rocket launcher.

But it's my weapon of choice, check it out :p

Blacksun does same damage as judge but with better RoF and _alot_ better aiming. Blacksun all the way baby.

pistol - black sun and to a certain degree liberator

rifle - pain easer, but if you have a synaptic accelerator, a ray of god is a mean ass weapon!

blacksun is TL86 and judge is TL100 so you get alot better RoF on the BS.

At 160/min on Judge I did deal better damage over time on headshots.. of course hitting, let alone headshots, on a judge is harder than a blacksun. In fact, if you can hit consistantly with a liberator.. it's better than a judge.


Something tells me Reakktor still has some work to do on pistols.


Also shadow dancer.. RoG kinda gimps you to tech up to, not too much if you got an SA but even then still. PE is probably safer, but I enjoyed my RoG, or ray of gay as you'd put it.. a lot :)

I'm using the stabber pulselaser. Not sure it's actually any good in PvP, but I like it all the same :)

(I have a pain easer too, but don't use it that much. and a 4 slot rog but I dun wanna change my imps to use it. And the reeza's gaze non-rare raygun is a bit crap).

great for hunting, good drops with 40/ rank, lots of free dex points for recycle, repair, and driving, or use the dex points to use capped KK-400 drones

edit: capped judge with 110 hack

Detox, i must admit to be very intrigued by the speedgat comment.

What setup would you use to get there?

bez1,bez2,spine2 gets you 7 str points. I'm guessing you add a moveon and a marine/bez3 to finish the setup?

a pe with a speedgun? would it REALLY work. I mean you cant run too fast with it out and still have good resists. when it comes to taking a kicking simple answer you wont be able to.

actually I prefer the crahn holy toxic lance.. getting 8-10 stacks on my opponent, then busting out the LLB2 and wacking them to death.. oh ya..

Oh the TPC setup was with bez-2, bez-3, marine, moveon, harden backbone-3 and beast for the last few points. Was pretty neat. Get some nice armor with that str, and you can overspec agility like a friggin mofo and have 0 base ath.

for speed gat just use bez 3 bez 2 move on and hardenbackbone 3 for a total of 76 str

you get one free brainslot for resistor chip or mindcontrol 3 for drones or distance 3 for the extra TC and Weapon lore

you get to wear duranit 4 and and inq 4

you can't use most med belts but med deflector belt, they work great because you won't have much in pierce resist with all your points in HC

You can cast your own deflector, it doesnt stack with the belt so dont use deflector belt.

It dont stack and were never supposed to stack. Test it with a sniper rifle or something.

Blacksun, Baby!

Beats em all cause of its damn good aiming...but i mostly use it against PEs and fast tanks, Monks get to taste my Libby.

I also gimped my setup so i can use a Judge to beat the shit out of all those slow tanks :D
