A new Patch is available for Vedeena!

fixed some Neocronicle Itemicons
a new Mission was added to the Gameworld, called "Warbots Bane" (WoC Melee Mission)
You can start the Mission "Warbots Bane" in I 14, near the huge Warbot statue: "Murphy" is waiting for you!

Known Issues "Warbots Bane"
wrong Itemmodel for the particle and the weapon (Avalon is creating a complete new Model for this weapon!)
the 'dead Warbot' is not dead, it's an NPC (Spy)
the sword is not "WoC", yet - a fix will be applied asap

Seems to be working just fine.
Only issues seem to be with the Warbots themselves. They still don't animate when they're attacking you about 60% of the time, so you randomly get lumped with 400-500 points of damage.
I don't mind the high numbers for WB/WBT kills, though I'm not sure what the 2nd and/or 3rd parts of the mission will entail.
Gonna take a while to wack all those WBs down solo as a melee guy tho; can we like insta-create max characters on the PTS?

Oh snap! Is that the new model? Or just the existing one while Avalon makes the new one?
Also, do you need to complete the quests to acquire that on the PTS? I tried talking to the Warbot's Bane Item NPC, and he gave me a soulblade plus a bunch of other stuff.
On PTS you can talk with the "Super hard mission guy" to cap your char instant.
He's in the Ceres Temple (You can use a Warp Terminal in the Neoconstruct).
I will add the Weapon to a trader, the Warbots Bane NPC is giving you mission related items you need to accomplish.

Ok, so I sat down for a few hours tonight and powered on through it. I have to say, I was impressed with how well it was done. I also appreciated the difficulty of the quest, as well as the length. Bravo!
Some feedback:
1) Is there a way to combine the Warbots/Warbot Titans into one requirement? I killed the 25 Warbots fairly easily, but it took me a long while driving around in my Rhino to find the Titans.
2) Warbots still don't animate when they're attacking you very often; can make for a very frustrating encounter.
Those are really the only issues I had with the mission. It was very well done. I am SOOOOO
excited to see it get implemented. Can't wait to see a giant light sword in game. I thought it would never happen *wipes away tear*

On a side note, if I can make some suggestions:
It'd be nice if at least one of the melee WoC weapons "felt" a little different from the other melee weapons.
Take the light sword for example: Take the stats from the Devil's Grace as a reference point. Take the Frequency (66) and cut it in half for the new weapon, giving it only 33 (this would be quite slow). But, literally double the damage numbers that the DG has (I'd also recommend swapping one of the damage types into X-Ray as well). So this would come out to:
180 Energy
74 X Ray
44 Pierce or Force
Now you have a high-risk, high reward weapon. If you can connect with the very slow swings, you'll do a ton of damage. But, if you miss, you'll get mega rekt.
It doesn't HAVE to be a thing, but I feel like it'd be a cool change up. Plus, if it's going to be a bigger, heavier weapon then it makes sense to have it swing slower.
Just my 2 cents.

1) As in, could it just be any number of Warbots and Titans? Like, if I killed 30 Warbots and 5 Titans? Or 28 and 7? Just patrolling around looking for the Titans can be a bit tedious.

3) The stats* in game are the exact same as the DG. The only difference between the two is the aesthetic value.

Speaking of missions. Developing a system where different types of mobs contribute credit for a mission would really help the whole game. Black roach, radiated roach, and roach are all separate missions. Cankered plant, toxic plant, etc.
The main reason I heard for not doing double XP is noobs level so fast they can't afford new gear. Make the missions less specific, and easier to do, and increase the money they give by 300% or so.
Kill 8 fire mobs rank 75+
Kill 10 mobs in the city sewers
Kill 10 mutants rank 11+
Kill 10 warbots/warbot titans
You get the idea.
Besides removing noob MC5, I can't really think of anything else that would improve the new-player experience more than improving missions.
Edit: This really deserves its own thread, so maybe I'll do that later...
Just too much hype for this, I can't stand it.
