unusual ammo

I found some mercury and nitrogen ammo in the shop, and the ammo converter didn't work in the weapon that it seemed it would have worked for. So what is it used for. Unique weapon or lengthy process to be able to put it on the weapon it appears that it would be for?

Woc weapons - AK I think and maybe the DOY missions too.

Its certainly woc rather than regular 5.56mm ammo anyway.
