Hello friends; I've decided to host a Hunger Games style Free For All Event to help bring the community a bit closer together.
How it will work:
-Players will create new toons (I would suggest a PE for this, but you're free to use whatever you feel).
-Players will gain negative soul light, so as to ensure their entire inventory can be looted.
-There will be a level cap (fairly low) for players to participate in the event. What exactly this level will be I have yet to decide; but the goal is to allow people to have points in all combat skills (Pistol, Heavy, Melee, Rifle, Psi) but at a low level.
-Low level weapons/ammo of all kind will be dropped in an undisclosed area of the map.
-Players will be given instructions on where to congregate; I would recommend leaving Law Enforcement chips in place to prevent pks from showing up and delaying/ruining the event.
-Players will follow me to the area where the event will take place. Upon arrival, further instructions will be given
-Players will remove LE chips.
-When all players have removed their chips, they will all be killed to ensure they have nothing in their inventory. They will be rezzed after it has been found that they are indeed empty.
-Any last minute instructions will be given, and then the countdown will begin.
-Once the match begins, it will not end until one participant is left alive
Additional Rules:
-Players may NOT bring anything in their inventory into the match. You must be completely empty.
-Any and all items used in the event must be looted either off the landscape or off another player
-Players may NOT use ANY implants, boneenforcements, or wear any armor of any kind. Each player must be completely naked.
-Attacking a referee by mistake will not be punishable. Deliberately working to kill referees will most likely result in them mercilessly disemboweling you.
What I need from the Community:
-A group of individuals who can work Security in case people try to crash the event
-GMs to be present at the event. Some sort of announcement system when someone dies would be amazing (I.e. Player X has been killed. There are now X players remaining).
-A large number of low (think newbie) weapons. I don't personally have the credits to buy 10 of each low level weapon and the corresponding ammunition for them (again I don't know if the GMs can help on this front).
-Spreading the word and getting people hyped for the event. I didn't see any CMC/SOAD guys at the last event. I don't know if they didn't know or didn't care, but it'd be nice to see a huge turnout.
-If you're going to participate, PLEASE SIGN UP IN THE THREAD WITH YOUR CHARACTER NAME. It helps build hype and also gives me an idea as to how much of everything I need.
-If the GMs could get this out on their Facebook/Twitter, and if we could get this on the THN page that'd be great as well.
-Also, please let me know what you guys want to see for a prize. Credits, weapons, implants, etc. Whatever. I need to know and coordinate with the GMs.
