Help Channel not working

My husband logged in and the account he logged in on was not able to see the help chat. He could post, but wasn't able to see any body's responses. My comp could log the same account and see help channel just fine. He has the x enabling beside the channel selection. Anyone have the same issue? And how to fix it.

Also make sure that the custom channels are marked in your hypercom with an "x" and that they are unmuted
