View Full Version : neocron doesnt start

Ive been trying to get back into the game for a while now but no matter what I do it makes no difference. The game used to run just fine until one day after clicking play neocron the launcher would just close and the client would crash in the first second. Since then ive tried reinstalling neocron, rebooting, clearing all the files etc.

Where do you recommend to go from here?

The dev team introduced a new dependency with the most recent major retail patch.

This is probably the 10th thread that could have been avoided if they just packaged the dlls with the patch as has been done in the past.

wow its that simple. it put me off playing for months. you should really bind those dlls zoltan.

edit: downloaded, installed and rebooted and didnt make a difference. after clicking play neocron launcher closes and nothing launches.

Make sure you download the x86 version of the C+2013 Redist regardless of whether you run 32bit or 64bit windows.

/beating a dead horse:
Wouldn't have to tell people this if you just included the required packages in the patcher.

installed it and got in game and everything was running fine. then all of the sudden cant find neocron files. try to reinstall in multiple directories and installer finishing installing but installation files never appear. tried installing it on different drives, directories, admin mode etc.

running win 7.

Fixed - its installing itself in weird places after setting very simple directories.
