I have a question about locations I have locations for
Military base
regent fortress
battle xone
I'm i anywhere near the caves you are talking about. I treid the map but couldn't find them.

chaos caves: there are several. the most accessible is near canyon reloading point GR. youll get there by running from desert race track GR to cyrow lab. far east from TH, in zone F 12.
el farid: get the GR, hop down and go south a few steps. you will see the entrance to the Desert City Underground. Zone J 10.

there are other caves like crystal caves or swamp caves, you may want to explore those later.

when running through the wastes, i found it useful to activate the rayray (F9) and have it point to the nearest GR.
