View Full Version : Mouse acceleration value, and external camera speed value

I would like to see 2 commands added to Neocron to help aiming and mouse control.

The first command would be to control value of mouse acceleration for Neocron, which would allow the player to choose an acceleration value (> 0), or to have no acceleration at all for completely linear mouse movement (0).

Example command could be "/set ctrl_mouseaccelfac (0.0 - 10.0)"

The second command would allow the player to control the external camera movement smoothing. When using the external camera, as you control your aim, the camera movement tends to be smoothed and lags behind. If the player moves his mouse, the camera perspective will continue to move for a second or so even after the mouse movement has stopped, changing the aim slightly. This command could be either a value range, or a boolean value to turn smoothing on or off. If the player sets this value to 0, or off, the external camera movements should be exactly locked to the mouse movements with no lag or smoothing.

Example command could be "/set ctrl_externalcamsmoothing (value or 0|1)"

(Please note this external camera lag or smoothing I am discussing is not the mouse input lag caused by vsync, but the external camera perspective smoothing as it corrects it's position when the player moves his mouse)

We definately need that !
It's been since the very beginning our mouse behavior is very weird in 3P and that would be awesome to see it fixed.
