frak. er no. it was shit. it was a beautiful looking empty space of shit. The IP is fantastic but the game play well. it left a lot to be desired.
as for the topic at hand. hasnt it been at 90% for a while now? im curious to see what is anyway.

Progress, at least. It's been 7+ months or so since they put it at 80%. I already thought it's dead.
Well, this is a surprise (even if it is only a progress bar moving 10%). I thought it was dead as was nukklear.

On the subject of Black Prophecy, anyone know what happened to the planned so called sequel "Black Prophecy - Nexus Conflict?" Can't seem to find it anywhere.

It's got 2 Body tags (1 is allowed).
It's got a script block for Javascript where there is no Javascript code and it's not in the head section where it should normally be.
There is a content outside a body tag
There is closing head tag inside the content area
There is an noembed tag with no content in it followed by a closing embed and object tag without any opening tags
Oh there is a stray closing a tag
The image is centred using tables
There is a weak attempt to use CSS - wouldn't take much to centre that logo.
... and then I realised I should have saved the time and effect and used http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Freakktor.com

To be fair, not all JS should go into the head tag. As for the code quality, well, let's just say it doesn't exactly come as a surprise.

Kirk owns the rights and he - aka Nukklear - is or was working on a Neocron 2 Version using the unity engine. Nukklear care for the Old Tradition of KK to Announce some spectacular News and immerse for a Year or two just to come back and post some concise but meaningless News about it. =D
Reakktor.com is registered to M. J. Schwietzer (former Reakktor CEO / Founder & soulless Betrayer =P )... seems that he grabs his Trademark / Domain back to make a "new outstanding Triple-A Game" he could sell to the highest bidding

Aye BPs main flying mechanic was pretty damn fun, I even enjoyed pve in that game, but then I reached a point where I was grinding for hours to gain 1 level cos it seemed the whole mission thing was broken... It started out you had missions to kill things in your area and leveled up quickly THEN suddenly theres only missions for things that are in areas you don't have access to so you need to just farm stuff.
And for those who didn't play it a mission would give you like 4000xp and a single kill gives about 10...
Again a great idea for a game with some awesome bits but everything else expertly screwed up by KK
TBH, the grind was horrible, but the grind in NC is horrible too.
The concept was great, the graphics were great, the engine was great, it was let down by the instancing, missions, lack of ability to compete with anyone more than a few levels difference and the publisher.
Hell i think ive gotten one kill in NC with the average 300 ping i have, i used to slaughter people in BP with 200 ping, netcode was very nice.

http://schwiezer.com/ was replaced by a new wordpress portfolio and while Neocron is mentioned among other "past projects" (and MJS is kind enough to point out that the game is still running, free and ready to be tried out) the new shiny in the works appears to be .. well what? something else? something similar? Hard to tell from the little that was made public:

Looks like a futuristic FPS (is that an outpost pretty please? typeface looks familiar too *wishfulthinking*) which I bet it will get nowhere near Neocrons original complexity. It has "RED vs Blue" stamped all over it, literally. :p

Can anyone give a brief overview of why Reakktor are so poorly regarded? I mean, I was around for Neocron when they were in charge, and they weren't the best at progressing the game, but I always figured they were this tiny independent studio that didn't have the resources so I brushed it off.

I don't get why people say BP was bad, I actually loved flying around in that game and had a blast with the pvp (though that could be cos I just slaughtered everybody). The problem I had with it was I always ended up getting to the second area with all the pipping and what not and there was no quests so the only option was to grind on mobs which gave about 0.001% of a level a kill.. I always gave up at that point and restarted.
It could have been great but it was just shoddily done, I always think how awesome it would be if EVE had combat like that, EVE is a very interesting game but I paid for 3 months of it played a month and I've not played since cos I realised all I was doing was farming the same missions, and would keep farming them for 6 months until I could do the L4 missions.. then finally after a year I might have the upgrades and money for a T2 ship and finally be able to pvp.. which would involve sitting there watching my ship do stuff then if I die spending hours traveling around rebuying everything... Still at least I've learnt my lesson... EVE is pretty and sounds cool but unless you want a space business simulator its NOT fun.
Anyhow as for KK... well I hope they stay under so they don't try to reclaim NC, sure I've heard nothing on this balance project in about a year so I'm assuming its been cancelled but if it was KK they would have just released it in a way which made everything worse. Never has a company had so many great ideas and done them so horribly.. NC and BP are the best ideas for MMOs iv seen and both pretty original as well, but both were so badly done.

So they confirmed on their facebook page :
It's not Neocron or Black Prophecy. It's an entirely new game. The forums, logo, announcement trailer and screenshots will all be ready at the same time and that's the reason it's taking so long. They also go on to say that it will PROBABLY be up next month.
