Is there any update on it that I missed? Can we have one plssssssss?

Also, why is pp1 the sync-lamo hotspot atm? I tried it to get some practice but it's really to narrow to be fun or even be close to wastland combat. ( PP3 would at least be a small improvement, or the OZ subway to b_08 sync)

They are currently migrating everything to a new infrastructure. It would make sense to build the new server based on that new infrastructure.

So it'll be Soon (tm - registered trademarks of the Neocron volunteer team) I suppose?

Please see the above thread. Once the servers are back online and stable, you will have the most recent Dev Update. The infrastructure migration was a required step in being able to provide the Sparta server.
