Long-time lurker just starting to play again.

I've been lurking around since NC1 but never really had time or (then) money to play. As things have changed for me, I'm wanting to dive into this but I'm having a little bit of trouble deciding my character.

I've decided on a sort of mad scientist/evil villain feel, so I'm thinking tc spy, but I'm not sure on weapon, professions, and faction. I kind of want to do a bit of everything, pve, pvp, etc. I also tend to be a solo player due to trouble meeting new people.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Mad scientist could be troublesome if you want to craft AND fight.^^

Well, it's more evil villain than mad scientist...the scientist part is just part of the explanation for having the tech weapons. As for crafting AND fighting, I'm not sure which side of that I want. Just trying to explore my options and get advice :P
