Hi all, just to be sure I'm not doing anything wrong, is 1024x768 the maximum resolution supported by Neocron? I can only set 800x600 or 1024x768.

Are you sure you are using a fully patched Neocron 2 client?
Higher resolutions including widescreen ratio are now supported in fullscreen mode as well.

They are supported but you need to edit neocron.ini file.
