My mIRC client is now way beyond the evaluation period that it simply won't let me use it anymore.
I know there are a few open source clients out there, but I want to know what you guys use and/or recommend.
I would say xChat or HydraIRC

XChat 2 is my favourite, and is free.
A lot of people seem to rave about LeafChat too, but the icon/look is awful. That stuff matters to me.
weechat is great. you can run it in a screen/tmux session on a server and access from everywhere using ssh. No need for bouncers. There are many plugins and it has also mouse support.

Nice, I will give that a try and throw it on one my servers thanks.

But who wants ads on their irc!
if you use firefox simply download the chatzilla add-on. it is a surprisingly powerful irc client that runs in a separate window
this is something I only recommend if u use any other supported chat clients, but I use Trillian to log onto irc, msn and gtalk, as it has almost all my messaging in one application (just steam and voicecomms left).
BitchX imo ^^ :D
Man I googled it hoping Id find a picture of you <3
