I googled around a bit but could not find a big enough Neocron Map that I like.
Basically I want a high-res version of the ORIGINAL Neocron 2 Map that is found inside the box of the game. (the map in the box was not even A4... >_>)
If it is an updated version; even better! eg: http://www.techhaven.org/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,133/
World Map for NC2.2 - NEMA Version (By: Zheodaine) TH does not like hotlinking...
I want to print out a poster and stick it to my wall above my screen because I hate to always use the Nav-Ray when I lurk the wastes :D
Anyone lucky enough to got such a version?

Well... That's what I meant with "Nav-Ray". :P

There's this (http://www.techhaven.org/index2.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_view&gid=109&Itemid=133) one, which is in the older style kinda.
Then this (http://www.techhaven.org/index2.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_view&gid=110&Itemid=133) one which is huge but the info is of course out of date.

Yeah the ones Drib posted are the only ones now i think. Unless you print off a picture from your screen shot folder?

Would it be possible to import the actual areal views from the game map itself into a map client the way they did for the "satellite Azeroth" map for WoW?
no idea, we don't play elf games.
Probably not, given the shitty draw distance in this game.

Only if the client relies on the game engine and settings...

Thx Drib but I saw those already.
That's why I said I wanted the original NC 2 Map in high res. I like the looks of the map way better than the old style.
To be honest they is an awful few Neocron artwork, faction-logos, billboard pics, etc floating around the web. I couldn't even find a decent picture of the CA eagle that was not a screenshot.
It's really a shame :\

Oh, sorry, when you said original I thought you meant NC1.

Try the NC fansite kit.

@Haxxor: Thanks, I have no idea where you got that from. Google failed me.
@Drib: Good idea! I did not know there is a fansite kit. I will look through it. I bet there is some good stuff available.
And sorry for the "original" confusion. The English language has lots of false friends for German people. :D
You could try extracting the game files.

That is something that I thought about, too.
Not only for the map and logos but also for some sounds. I think not all sound files are openly accessible in the game folder.
But those extraction tools have a baaaad taste to them and I think I do not need to explain in more detail what I mean... Even though they are not bad from the core and have a lot of legal uses to them like soundfile extraction.
So can somebody give me a hint (PM proffered) to how I can extract those sound and graphic files?
Well, the utility is on THN. Seems legit: http://www.techhaven.org/component/option,com_docman/Itemid,132/task,doc_details/gid,86/
Since I'm on Windows 8 64-Bit, I had to register a couple runtime files to get it to work. The program includes COMDLG32.OCX and I also needed MSCOMCTL.OCX (http://www.ocxdump.com/download-ocx-files_new.php/ocxfiles/M/MSCOMCTL.OCX/6.01.9782/download.html).
If you're on Windows 64-bit and the program says you need those files, put them in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ and open a command prompt as Administrator (type CMD into Start menu and rightclick) and execute the following commands:
cd C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
regsvr32 MSCOMCTL.OCX
regsvr32 COMDLG32.OCX
If you're on Windows 32-bit, you probably need to use C:\Windows\System32\ instead.
