Hey guys,

the recent testserver patchnotes say that clipping was fixed.
Unfortionally, after a little bit of testing, we weren't able to note any difference at all.
It's pretty much the same as it is atm on the retailservers.
But you can see for yourself:

Please note that the ping of both tester was <50 and the server was not lagging at all.

#1 Vid: Thats definately clipping :(
#2 Vid: Notice that the tank is never actually INSIDE the wall/Building. I think that is what they mean by fixing it. Making it impossible to clip around something, to be completely untargetable (if thats even a Word :p ).

That is what they meant. It's not really a fix. It's an improvement to a certain degree. Tackling the problem itself is a lot more complicated...

Terrain collision is different to object collision.

I think the 'fix' applied would work great in the likes of plaza, and inside the majority of outposts as they are placed on flat terrain, however by the looks of it from that first video, open world pvp out in the wasteland zones will still have issues of clipping.

The way the tank stops in position presumably until it gets an update that puts his position in a location that he 'should' be reminds me of NC1, and people used to cry then about being in 1 place on their screen, but 'stuck' behind a corner on another. Have you tried damaging him when he is in that standstill position? See if damage can still be dealt to him when he is where he 'shouldnt' be

They should additionally put in a runspeed capp.

Terrain clipping is not yet fixed it seems. But the fix works on objects.

There have to be some more improvements.

No.. They really shouldnt put any kinds of runspeed caps in NC..

Maybe with a lot of practice, you one day will be able to aim as well, as most of the skilled pvp'ers.
Give it a couple of years.. Im sure you will get there at some point :p

Anyways, this is completely off topic. So sorry for that.

update patch #178:

We went to the same locations to test it one more time. This time the improvements are HUGE! No Clipping through the mountain at all, canyon entrance was much better too. But please note that some finetuning is still needed (maybe the refreshrate a bit higher).

All in all it's a real clipping fix this time, please bring it live soon after you did some more testing/finetuning. (but please hurry up dev's, we need this patch)

A new video from the same spots would be awesome!
