As the title says...I am curious how aoe is in 2.2. I have some questions about the damage and viability of each. I haven't played since 2.0.

How good is a rocket pistol?
How good is droning aoe?
Is Heavy combat still superior?
How is the APU aoe?

Rocket pistol is okay. Probably the worst of the AoE weapons.

Droning AoE is excellent with the RK rocket drones. The first one is available around dex 36 (Or maybe 34).

Heavy combat AoE is still very much excellent all the way through the level range.

APU AoE is great but it takes a while to get to it.

RG drones are also pretty good for AOE.

APU is good as long as you do it in FIRST person view.

This is a good point. Unless of course you have a PPU and want to level your constitution xD

Depends where your AoE'ing.. Regants boss room is pretty easy to AoE as APU in 3rd person IMO.

Aoe what ever class gets it is a very valuable tool. think of the poor rifle users who get nothing. (dont mention melee. that would be weird)

If you have it you should embrace it.

It's not exploiting to shoot yourself with aoe its just silly. Look at melee tanks back in the day in a chaos cave.

As soon as all the apus barrelled the room you could bet that the un teamed melee tank would charge in!

Levelling constitution by repeatedly damaging yourself (either directly or indirectly)


But yeah it's silly :D
