View Full Version : Which download mirror to use?

I tried to use the DOY mirror twice but it failed stating files where corrupted and some of the other mirrors listed on the main site don't work.


Which should I use?

Not that I'm bias in the slightest, but the THN is an awesomely epic mirror. Have only been able to cap its full download rates with 3 people downloading off it at the same time, all on about 5Mb/s transfers :p

I used the gamershell one when I downloaded but it was slow as balls. Took like 3 hours or something... so definitely don't use that one

If this helps, the THN mirror is based in the UK. Not sure about Neocron.org but I'll think it's US based. (I'll let MrTrip confirm that.)

And yeah the THN is awesome, not that I'm biased either. ;)

Have you changed your updater.ini ?

I don't think it's that but ill try it, i've probably just forgotten the password(s) to my 4 accounts :o

I can see me having to start fresh at this rate haha! serves me right for not backing up my passwords I guess! plus the email I used dates back to pre-2000 and that company was taken over twice so I don't hold much hope on getting access again if it even still exsists...

I've just had a look at that thread and it's not relevant, I can't log into my account but I can access the server.... if that makes?

Tanking it, PE'ing, or hopping around like a nut case as my tradeskiller lol :) But have spent more time recently on the TS than retail :p

Edit: email account [AT] neocron.info then as per: http://forum.neocron.com/announcement.php?f=149&a=423 for out of game account support. Should do the trick :)

I don't know if i'm allowed to, the free account is supposed to be for new players or nc1 vets... I did play 2 - 2.2?

I guess I can make one and hope it doesnt get smashed!

The free account is for people who do not have a NC 2 account available already.
As you were unable to recover any accounts tied to your name, this should cover your case too - I don't see a problem here.
If you run into trouble, talk to us and we'll sort it out.

Just made a melee tank called Goregasm, however my new POS dell laptop that my work have given me doesnt like me using the touch pad while using the direction keys which is making life.... difficult :mad:

Ill see if I can grab a mouse tomorrow!

Silly question.. You have remembered to install the Dell drivers, right?
Back when I had a Dell laptop, a lot of stuff didnt Work very well (at all...), till I installed those drivers.
