Hey all,
recently upgraded my shitty massively out of date laptop maybe like 5 years old Compaq thing to this http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/Acer_Aspire_8920G-834G32Bn_Gemstone_Blue_LX.AP50X.183/version.asp but havent actually seen any increase in fps and assumed i would are there certain settings i have on or off that are capping them, on both i usually get about 60 and maybe 45 at opfights with 15-20 people.
I am also technologically retarded so please be gentle with me :)

You've got a good amount of RAM, but your cpu and gfx card aren't exactly biblical (the tech is about 3-4 years old).

Your monitor/gfx card may be limiting the fps at 60, there's a way to remove it, but I can't remember.

Frankly, you do better than I do. I'll get single digits at an OP fight and lucky to get over 30 anywhere else.

if you have vsync on, it's capped to 60

Unsire if this helps, other than offer you some hope.

I have a lesser specced laptop.

Intel Core Sol 2.16Ghz, 2Gb RAM, and a nvidia mobile with 64Mb RAM.
I have managed about 70FPS during OP fights (depending on whats going on) and between 75-90FPS in P2 fights. The frame rate bounces up and down, and targetting plp in an OP fight is problematic, but still possible. They move around too quickly for the updates to cope.

I have DirectX7 running, full screen mode, and the RPOS is transparent. No borders around any boxes. Resolution is either 800x600 or 1024x768. I cannot remember which. (At least I think its DirectX7)

The nVidia settings are set to performance. All lowest quality settings etc.

The in-game NC settings are set to the lowest detail, but the fog distance is set to be least.

...And yeah, talk with Mr.Invinci.
