back in the day, I understood computer, now I'm looking to upgrade my desktop, and I can't understand which fits in what etc.

says that the phenom II X6 1055T is the best value for money processor, which I'll believe.
now, what kind of motherboard could i get away with? I have no intention of overclocking or anything fancy, it just has to work. Memory is generally pretty straight forward.
Note, I don't really wanna spend more than 350 euros (290 GBP) on graphics card, processor, memory and motherboard, unless a slight increase in budget will cause a massive improvement in performance.
I use it for:
3d modelling, 3d Rendering, HD video editing, and well... gaming ;)
Note, ive been searching the net, but they all want to sell the most expensive shit around, and I just want an upgrade.
