at the launcher, when the autoupdate thingy comes, it just doesnt do anything..
If i try to run NC without going through the launcher, I cant get past the login screen.. :(

aye mine wont connect either, oddly enough a mate of mine was still ingame while i couldnt connect. when he logged out, he couldnt get back in either...

I still can't get past the launcher

EDIT: I tried running the client directly from the Neocron2 folder and it doesn't start at all, I just hear the windows error sound but no message or anything comes up and the proccess stops a second after appearing in task manager.

not getting past the launcher sounds like a vista/7 problem, run it in administrator mode.

it should always launch, whether nc servers are up or not, so the problem is regretfully at your end

Just re-installed, the auto patcher worked, downloaded all the patches and the problem persists... :confused:

It was working fine a few days ago and I haven't made any changes to my system since then, no updates to my drivers or anything so I really don't understand what's causing this.

Possibly a firewall/antivirus preventing it from opening? Is it running in your processes?

I don't have any antivirus or firewall program running. If you mean the game's process, it runs for about half a second before closing itself and I get no error messages it just closes like nothing happened. If you meant is there an antivirus/firewall running in my processes, no.

Not sure if this will help but the launcher closes after the auto updater's sending version request message and then.. nothing, I open task manager to see if anything is running like the launcher or the client but there isn't anything. I've done file checks twice and it reports no problems, keep in mind I just re-installed the game and all the patches.

Try switching to dx7 in the launcher configuration, that used to work for me I think.
