Locking up at loading screen.

I havent played neocron in a few months and was bored so i redownloaded it and installed it now it locks up at loading. i ran it under administator still isnt loading.


PC spec

Icore 3 530
Gigabyte h55m-s2h
ocz 4gig ram
geforce 8800 gts
windows 7 32bit.

i just reformated 2 weeks ago so everything is up todate on drivers.

dont have a firewall on and my ip has dmz on router.

I don't use Windows 7 but do I remember NC needing to be run on "xp emulated" or some such setting to work properly? I maybe thinking of something else, w/e.

did you try moving the neocron folder away from program files?

i have it installed on a other harddrive. should i try runnnig it on my os harddrive?

Mine would not run unless it was in Program(x86) directory. Make sure the launcher and client program run as admin.

I tried copying out of program(x86) and the program would do exactly as you described until I put it back.

It locks up at loading because you have too many things running.

This has been solved 10,000 times.

I have Windows 7, I run it in D:\Games\Neocron2 <- No problem.

I also run it from Linux via Wine no problem via /media/xc2/Games/Neocron2

Kill off some processes, whatever is using the most memory, mine was Failfox with Adobe Flash Fail, and tada NC ran perfect.

Requst a new one from the account section of the launcher. It'll send you a defualt pass to your email. Then you can change it in your acount settings after.
