View Full Version : Still Can't Setup 1920x1080

Figured I'd head back into the game (once servers were up) just to see how awesome it used to be, but first...

I can't get 1920x1080 resolution.

I did the ="1920x1080x32" and also tried WindowMode for D3D9, but every time I fire the game up it keeps re-prompting me for the resolution configuration (max being 1680x1050) and I'm only seeing WindowMode available for D3D7.

ATI 4890 - Latest Drivers
E8400

Also, the game takes 15 minutes to load last "Please Waiting, Game Loading" screen, and if I set NOINTRO to TRUE it will stay at the black screen for the 15 minutes.

Anyone encounter this? Any other info I need to post?

Neocron is so not 1080. Everything looks weird in it.

Window mode can be manually set in the neocron.ini, but the game simply doesn't support 1080.

Imagine, you have a bike. It is a nice bike, manufactured in 2001 by a relatively new bike company. 10 designers come together and make this bike. It is amazing. It gives you hours of fun rides for years. The designers love this bike so much they keep adding to it and upgrading it, but they never change the frame.

Now your bike has a V8 engine, twin turbo, turn signals, a fucking cup holder, and not to mention air conditioning....but all on the same frame and wheels.

Your bike now tips over. The designers have all left and are working on other things but offer a kick stand to try and stand your bike up.

You use it, but the kick stand breaks. Now you have a broken kick stand, and your soda has spilled all over the place because your cup holder isn't level anymore.

Your soda has spilled, and you're worried about fucking 1080?

easy answer game was made for 1020X786 max ress
that is all we had at the time you can put it over however the
game goes odd an streched an crashes a lot more.

well that is what i found....

and yess i get the same loading problems iff it loads at all

1920 x 1200 is working for me, maybe its the aspect ratio it doesn't like?

Ah.. yes, now I remember, NC doesn't really like widescreen. You'll probably still have to run it in window mode though.

just set your graphics card to not-stretch the image, and play it 4:3... people have been doing it for years without problems :P

Sounds like I'll be playing in Windowed Mode for the time being @ 1650. However, anyone able to speculate on why it takes 5-10min for the game to load to the main menu?

Maybe it's just an odd bug affecting only my hardware/driver config.

Run

client.exe -precache

once while in window mode at that resolution.

Can not run Windowed mode with d3d9 selected, Radeon HD 6900 Series, newest drivers, shortcut commands, ini lines, nothing works.. it always brings up the config prompt and makes me reselect my options and of course there is no "windowed option" in the d3d9 list, is this a ATI but only issuse, I never saw this with my nvidia?
