I've just got a new mac, which will be my main computer now... Anyone know if it's possible to run NC with things like crossover / etc.?.. Without bootcamping.

I guess you have to try if it runs with that Crossover Games thingy.
It is not on their compatibility list, but that might be because noone ever tried.

Yeah CrossOver for Mac should do the trick, but can't help you with the mac stuff....

Hmm.. Can't seem to get my external that has just the neocron 2 folder already on it working... I'm downloading it again right now, so... by sometime today we'll see if it works -.-

I had it working with Crossover 8.0.1, fullscreen (1680x1050?) with a first-gen iMac (still running OS 10.5). FPS was ok-ish, but controlling your toon was a bit sluggish, mousewheel for changing quickslots didn't work while moving/running around; no access to the underlying OS possible etc...

I guess it was ok for doing research/cst but you won't be having a good time pvping with it. It'll perform better with a more powerful maschine.

Do you have any other computer with a neocron on it ? Would it be possible to do a straight copy of it to your MAC ? (instead of actually installing it)

hopefully you know what i mean, my English isnt all that great. :P

I was wondering if you did a file integrity check under the config tab in the launcher after patching? I'm guessing it does something like detect potential errors during the download maybe, not sure. (To verify checksums, that sort of thing I assume.)
It just sounded like a good thing to do, is all: Eliminate the possibility its just a faulty download/patching and nothing about a Mac at all.

I can't use the launcher. I had to get a NC folder off of another PC.. And before that PC was massively fucked it worked fine.

Had my MBA 11 for work delivered last week. Running 10.11 I think. El Capitaine something :-)

Did anybody have luck with NC on them?

Not that I would play NC in the office, unless I talked myself into this.

I believe it does. I'm not sure that I have used the newer installer which deploys some new MS Redistributables, so it could possibly run into issues.

the change that brought the redists broke it for me (using crossover), but ymmv.
