seeing as maybe some people don't read all the posts in the neocron:source thread :P

rambus posted two links so that 99% of you can get a free copy of Hl2DM, a few levels of portal (must have game), and one other game I think.

This game is also part of the requirements for NC:Source, it's free, so pick it up if you don't have it ;)

steam allows you to download the games through it, it's the match making software and steam is the only proper DRM around, it doesn't invade your pc, it can be used offline, and it allows you to play your games on any pc provided u can log in. Steamcloud syncs savegames of a bunch of games whenever you play, so I have the same savegames on my laptop as my main rig, the normal prices for games are a bit expensive, but the deals are much cheaper

all in all, steam used to have some opposition when it just got out (it made all the illegal copies of halflife not work), but at this point it's very very popular (I have over 40 games in my steam (http://steamcommunity.com/id/biglines/games << dunno if this is public)

My brother had an issue with the payment for crysis and steam deactivated his account for 2 weeks. All bought games were not playable... neither in singleplayer. I mean deactivating crysis or deleting it from the list, fine. BUT the whole account and made bought games not playable? I was speechless. :wtf:

No cs:s for Powerpunsh within the 2 weeks. Steam made Powerpunsh cry. :(

Ahh, I had thought that it did some sort of PC invasion, but since it does not then fine.

NC source:- When you write source, do you mean the source code for NC, or something else? I'm a little suprised if the former is the case.
