As the title says id like to make a account to play this game while it is Free however it says my account is outa time when i try and log into the game any help?
ok the game is free for the account made before KK went into insolvency long ago. It doesn't mean that new accounts are free or whatever... Some guys were able to make new accounts but i don't know what/how they did it. maybe someone can help you with this. Anyway normally you won't be able to make new account for the time being...

i think you can at least create a trial acc with click2pay .. but im not sure
A friend of mine wanted in so we just picked up some ultimate game cards and did it with PayByCash... Account created, game being played, win. Click2Pay refuses to operate with anyone in the US, but PBC still works.

I don't know since KK permited to switch from C2P to paypal in 2006 (i think) i never had to deal with C2P (they gaved me so much headache)... but it should be the same thing as trying to create a new acc with paypal nowaday... so no new acc creation possible AFAIK!

Friend of mine made a account few nights ago and used pay by cash option, so he could do the 2 week trial. Think even if you have to pay after the trial is up its only 5-7$ a month?
And you can buy the game dirt cheap on amazon or ebay and get 30 day free there also, so plenty of time to decide if you want to stick with it!

As far as I know it's free to play for anyone who created their account before 10tacle went into insolvency, PayPal or not. Inactive accounts have been activated for free play as well. Sadly, as I was PayPal, I have no means of supporting KK aside from bringing in some friends as new paying players.
New accounts have to be paid for. Click2Pay is essentially barred from business in the US, so the only current option in the US is PayByCash. Hopefully this will all get sorted and they'll have proper payment channels again so everyone can start supporting KK, but from what I know that won't happen until Black Prophecy is nearing release.
This all does mean that there's no way for you to get a free trial, and if you want to get in it's just a leap of faith in buying the game. Honestly, in my opinion, it's worth it. :)

Actually my friend got the 2 week free trial by using the pay by cash option, it does not charge you until after the trial period.
(To OP) However if you have no way to even setup a account with them aka Credit Card you may be out of luck. But honestly just buy the game its really cheap and you get 30 days free that way.
once you managed to open a game account, cancel subscription and playing is free (forever). this may change in february (or later),when payment options will be back, so youll have to pay a low fee by then.
how do you cancel it?

neocron is a great game and me and my friends still consider it to be one of the all time best MMO's we've ever played. hopefully you get your account working. have you tried emailing KK yet like someone said earlier in the thread? good luck and keep an eye out for a neocron 3 after black prophecey!!! If they make Neocron 3 and do it right I don't think I'll ever buy another game. I'd happily pay $150 for the game and $50 a month for NC3. I know charging that would be marketing suicide, but I'm just trying to make a point about how awesome that'd be. Seriously. If they do it right I know for sure I'd be bringing ALL of my friends.
Neocron is seriously the only game that I've been consistently drawn back to at least 3 times a year... I played at launch and I'm playing now. It just has that special something that no other MMO has. I can't quite put my finger on it, but you all know what I mean...

Yes, thr problems are (afaik) only with Paypal and KK's announcements imply that it is only true of paypal, all existing accounts however they were paid for (or not - even if they are just old trial accounts) are free for the time being. However you can currently pay with C2P if you really, really want to.
Oh, and as I understand it, it isn't that C2P refuse to deal with americans, but that US banks refuse to deal with C2P. C2P is mostly used by online casinos and since online gambling was outlawed in the US, most banks have stopped dealing with them.
you have all the info you need now to get into neocrac, even with its low playerbase atm, its a great set of people still playing it, op wars arnet as spectacular as days gone by, but running around, killing stuff and having a laugh with everyone online makes up for it, ive been back and forth since release after playing WoW and Eve its the only game i come back to

Buy it new off of ebay, and just ask for the CD key and save on shipping.
Expect to pay 2-3 dollars.
Edit: Make sure to buy neocron 2, I don't believe the neocron1 cd key will help you here.
