I was just watching a series i follow on TV called Weed's. A great show IMO, but not for everyone.... especially here in the neocron world. So I was wondering how many people would watch a TV series based off of neocron?

imagine seeing the city come to life with post apoc bursting from its ***hole. everyone remembers the first time they opened those big doors to the wastes... imagine it on the big screen!

just another drunken idea im afraid... but would still be cool to watch!

A series, no, because they would have to think of a new plot for each episode basically, but a movie, I think would be awesome, as long as it'd be done right and not ruined by Hollywood. xD

seeing as a series generally has only one plotline per episode, there would be more than enough content in neocron to roll as a tv series, with all the factions, quests, locations, fights, opwars (i'm not saying a series that runs as long as stargate, but a series of 7-20 should be possible)

a series/movie would be so awesome!
there are series where one plot goes through a whole season, dont forget that. i think also that a series would be as suitable as a movie, cause MMOs are basicly the series-version of games, cause they have no real end like a singleplayer game ;). and nc has so much stuff and aspects to show in a series.

http://www.chroniclesofsyntax.com/ - You may want to keep an eye on that one, I'm hoping it gets commissioned.

The short version of how this all came about, is an ex-NC player did a script, and sold it. Some of the character names are based on some well known NC1/NC2 vets, but as to how much it will feel and look like NC is another matter.

The longer version can be read at the THN. (http://forum.techhaven.org/viewtopic.php?t=2115)

Given the aloofness that some players show to roleplay and the storyline in general, I feel that a TV show based on the NC storyline should be a comedy relying on heavy parodies of player activities and chat.

If Rob Grant and Doug Naylor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grant_Naylor) could be commissioned to write a pilot (after putting aside their recent professional differences), hell, I'd happily pay them to do it.
