View Full Version : Neocron meets Akira Sun, the second track
After the sucessful release of the first Neocron track, Akira Sun has dedicated Neocron a second track.
Listen to the new track and its remixes on Akira's Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/houseofakira)
Is it me or is the guy's remixes a little... meh
I like how this guy has such a stupidly popular myspace page with immence traffic of:
Plays today: 174
Total plays: 3,994,972
If I had all that exposure, i'd be a millionaire in no time...
That means he's had his myspace page for over 60 years !
WOW !
I don't see neocron having anything done for two years now, and all we get is some guy's myspace page promoted?
I feel sad :(
Snowcrash- this isn't the kind of community involvement we need from you :(
I like his/her 'go to Venus track'
But the neocron ones are bleh repetitive, how does one extract the neocron sounds in original format/quality?
Nice music.

Exactly my question. I feel inspired and want to make a song about Neocron.
If anyone is interested, here's my music:

we asked about that for nc:source, but it's not allowed
the music mp3's are in the neocron folder, but officially not even allowed to listen to them outside of neocron

Well erm... Akira Sun seems to be allowed to...

afaik they are only inspired, as far as i know he only sounds like neocron, not the actual tracks/sounds
and if he used them, he got permission, which you sure as hell have to get before using them

and yeah listened to them now (skimmed through anyway, couldnt sit through it all) and they are pretty bad... too much reptition of the same voiceovers it loses dramatic effect, and sound itself is too much like 80s synth stuff or something it has no atmosphere just "plinky"
They should have asked Tim Skold and Marilyn Manson to do it instead, Neocron is a cyberpunk game, not a techno party "happy happy fun times barbie game".
A similar thing, but done with music more like the ambient tracks they did for the resident evil soundtrack would have been much Better.
I'm also not the trance kind of guy since I don't take 20 different drugs when I go out at night. But still you don't need ugly Marilyn Manson to express the cyberpunk feeling. Resident Evil 4 was a great movie though
I f.e. like listening to stuff like this when playing Neocron:

lol what does looks have to do with anything?
i just think that is a post apocalyptic environment, they should have gone for / should go for darker music, not dancy techno crap, Basically industrial is what they need and germany specializes in it, i dont know why they didnt use skold, kmfdm or rammstein.
