neocron and vista

for some reason neocron locks up a the loading screen for me, ive taken the game out of the program files and installed it into its own game folder, any suggestions ?

sounds like your firewall blocks the client.exe (this is neocron)

if you are using vista firewall you should check if neocron is allowed to connect with internet (activate checkbox before "client")

other firewalls also have an list of programs, which are allowed / not allowed to connect with the internet.

Only problem i had with installing neocron on my vista computer was it wouldnt do the autopatcher and i had to right click the launcher and run as admin. Everything worked fine after that.

Hope you didnt have the cheek to install it to Program Files.

guys the bet way to deal with NC on vista is to run as and administrator the launcher+client other wise you will meet nasty problems thanks to M$.

Install it to C drive and possibly put it into xp compatibility.
