First couple of nights, since like forever, i have had an opportunity to log in and get a fix and the launcher hangs at "connecting to server"

Yes i have vista it has always worked, no it's not my firewall and no i am not going to re-install as a fix all ;)

So we got the usual shit out the way :angel:

does the launcher show the launcher website?

and u could try to run client.exe (bypassing the launcher)

Yup Launcher shows correct website i can even log into my account details via the window but will not connect to server.

still running on that mobile connection? cuz it could very well be that it just times out (seeing as ur ping shows very very slow pings)

Yup :( usually if i can gauge it by the speed it loads pages, remember mostly tradeskill and do the odd mission for Wiki :)
