Anyway, I quite enjoy my savory pancakes, so something along the lines of cheese/ham/bacon/creme fraiche/ is likley, followed by honey/chocolate sauce with some form of fruit.

Sugar & lemon but only fresh lemon not that bottled crap, but I find that my first pancake is always utter crap & contrary to popular belief I tend to be a flipper not a tosser, I always tend to over toss if I do and it ends up back the same side!!

Like with anything, its much nicer if someone does it for you ;)
there are special pan`s for it. worth to spend a few quids.
most pro cooks let scorch the first, the pan is "clean" afterwards and gives better results.
